This gorgeous property, situated in an enviable position overlooking Newquay Harbour and Towan Beach, is perfect for the whole family – including the pups, of course! Sleeping eight across four superb bedrooms with space for up to three dogs, this beautifully decorated townhouse apartment is an opportunity to get out and explore this popular coastal destination knowing you’ve got a comfortable base to return to. Head down to the beach less than 200 metres away and watch as the children build sandcastles, and the dogs dig to their hearts’ content.

A period hallway greets you and leads you into a bright and airy open-plan living area where neutral decor and carefully selected furnishings create a peaceful atmosphere to unwind in after a long day. Sink into the comfortable sofas and watch TV, glancing at the sea views through the window, or enjoy sociable meals at the regal dining table. The stylish kitchen makes it a breeze to whip up meals with glossy worktops, an island and all the appliances you need. When it’s time for bed, head to one of the four rooms; the large ground-floor triple room with single beds has a boutique style and offers access to the rear patio that’s perfect for your morning coffee. There’s also a contemporary shower room on this floor. Upstairs, all the bedrooms have tranquil tones to help you drift off to sleep. There’s a small 4’ double room and a twin, while the main bedroom is a twin that can be converted to a super-king-size on request. Wake up in this room and head out to the front balcony to watch the early walkers, swimmers and surfers on the beach. Each first-floor bedroom has a peaceful en-suite to make mornings easy; there’s one with a shower over a Jacuzzi-style bath and two shower rooms. Outside, the bench on the front patio is ideal for people-watching while the rear patio gives the pups somewhere to stretch their legs morning and night.

Make sure you wander the streets of Newquay and sample the street food near the harbour (0.5 miles) before going for walkies along the South West Coast Path. Take the kids and pups on a journey with the Lappa Valley Steam Railway (4.5 miles), or delve into local history at Cornwall Gold and Tolgus Mill (17 miles). So many local beaches welcome your dogs, including Whipsiderry (2 miles), Mawgan Porth (5.5 miles) and Perranporth (9 miles).

A property information sheet would be useful and almost a minimum expectation in our experience - we had to make contact for the WiFi password. 10 am checkout time is tight and could be extended by an hour or two. The front of the property is overgrown with weeds and poorly maintained, although the entrance to the property is communal, it couldRead more be made nicer as its not very welcoming or clean and lots of post and parcels scattered about makes it look un-cared for. The master bedroom needs a statement bed or at least a double or king, not 2 singles pushed together. The master bedroom needs windows that open, the door to the balcony is the only opening and the curtain is coming off its rails as its in constant use - this is how it was when we arrived. There are not enough glasses/cups for 6 people. More coat hangers are required when the property is housing 6-8 people. The downstairs shower screen needs replacing Instructions for the microwave are required - the buttons do not have any text as its worn away. The back garden could be made more welcoming with fairy lights etc and could do with a general tidy up - we did not feel like sitting out there for this reason. The property is overpriced for these reasons. The location however is great. Hide

Amazing location. View from balcony is phenomenal. Very spacious. Great to have so many bathrooms and parking is a real bonus. Few little niggles like main bedroom being 2 singles mattress and not enough cups but these were really minor details.

Fantastic Location, Stunning Views, and a Great Base for the Beach We had a brilliant stay at this cottage. The location couldnt be better it was perfect for slipping into wetsuits and walking straight down to the beach, with everything we needed just a short stroll away. The view from the balcony made mornings extra special a stunning spot toRead more enjoy a coffee and take in the surroundings. The house was cosy and well-equipped. It might feel a bit of a squeeze if youre using all the beds, but we managed just fine. The multiple bathrooms were a big plus and made things much easier with a group. Parking was pretty good a little bit of juggling at times, but we always found a spot nearby. A photo of the best parking area would be a helpful addition, just to avoid any initial faff. It took us a while to figure out that the air fryer doubled as a toaster, and although the washing machine wasnt working during our visit, we managed without. A simple welcome sheet with things like the Wi-Fi password, recycling info, and appliance tips would make a great addition. All in all, a lovely place in a fantastic spot wed happily come back. Hide

On the whole the property was ok but there are a few things that need addressing. There is no information file in the property so had to text for Wi-Fi password, usually this would be in the file along with local information, departure information and requirements for bins, bedding and towels, also fire and emergency procedures and safety certificaRead moretes. In the small double room the bed is not big enough for 2 average adults to have a comfortable stay, our feet touched the kick board at the bottom of the bed and we are not overly tall, also the shower in this room is far too small, not enough room to even bend down and pick up soap without burning yourself on the shower pipes. There are also no drawers to store clothes, only a hanging area. Kitchen was nice but there are no cupboards to store food as they all had pots and pans in them, also needs a toaster. The car parking at the back of property is VERY tight and you would struggle to park there if you had a large car, could also do with a sign to say which property the space is for like the other adjoining properties, also there was quite a lot of animal feaces in the parking area. Good points are the location, close to town so short walk to local amenities and close to the beach. A good sized property for a family get together or larger family. Hide
