Perfectly situated in Whitby Old Town beneath the famous abbey, this immaculate duplex apartment welcomes four people along with their faithful four-legged friend. Ideal for couples, small families or an intimate group of friends, this captivating apartment offers easy access to Whitby’s beaches and attractions.

Located down a quiet alleyway, this historic haven was completely refurbished in 2021, transforming it into a contemporary retreat with heaps of character and charm. Climb up to the third floor and let your pup lead the way into an open-plan living area bathed in natural light. Italian leather sofas beckon you to unwind while your pup gets comfy in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire. The sleek kitchen is equipped with quality appliances or set noses twitching with Whitby’s famous fish and chips as you gather around the bench dining table. When it’s time to let sleeping dogs lie, venture upstairs to find two cosy bedrooms, a double and a twin, set beneath the eaves, their historic beams offering a glimpse at the building’s rich past. After snoozing in comfort, a rainfall shower on the lower floor offers a new leash of life come morning.

While this property has no outdoor space, it’s surrounded by fascinating walks and exciting smells. Climb the famous 199 steps to St. Mary’s Church and Whitby Abbey to wander around the legendary ruins and explore the dramatic headland. The town centre offers an array of shops and eateries, many of which welcome man’s best friends, including the Fuzzy Dog Bakery. Sea-loving pups can hop on a boat trip from the harbour or visit HMS Bark Endeavour with their humans, while several of the region’s beaches welcome playful pups to scamper on sands and splash in the sea.

This is the perfect retreat for a romantic break to this lovely, atmospheric seaside town. Nikki and Mark are lovely, attentive hosts and we had everything we needed, including a tastefully decorated tree and table arrangements, which made us feel very spoilt. The flat is immaculately clean, well kitted out with modern fixtures and fittings and aRead morelso very quiet despite, being in the best shopping street in Whitby. It is surrounded by interesting shops, (a wonderful book shop) and delicious coffee houses, bakery, restaurants and bars. All this on your doorstep and of course the fantastic Whitby Abbey on the cliff behind. The duplex flat is well equipped and very comfortable. Tasteful decor and lovely large walk-in shower with generous towels and linen. The kitchen and dining area is perfect for cooking whilst chatting or watching the TV and the sofas are luxurious and comfortable. The bedroom also has a TV which is a welcome extra. The apartment is on the third floor so perhaps not suitable for some, but after the second time we hardly noticed the stairs. Whitby has many steps and most of them take you to wonderful, intriguing places. The Nest is one of them! We will be back and would highly recommend. Hide

Flat was very clean, bright, warm & comfortable. Excellent shower room. High standard of equipment, including induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. Very handy for both the centre of town & the older parts. This is a third-floor flat, so those with mobility issues may find 43 steps from the street to the flat a challenge.Read more Hide

Perfect accommodation - we had a lovely stay here. Very clean and central. The host was attentive and helpful. We would love to come back sometime.
