Explore 20 acres of picturesque, mid-Devon woodland with your happy hound when you stay at this delightful, dog-friendly lodge. Situated near Witheridge, 10.5 miles from Tiverton, the two-bedroom, single-storey hideaway is surrounded by beautiful, verdant scenery that includes a lovely lake. With a private patio where you and your pup can soak up the sunshine, it also has a wood burner for warming chilly paws after autumn and winter walks.

Follow your eager canine companion inside to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here, a glass gable end brings the natural light and glorious views into the living space. Open the doors to the patio on fine days so puppies and people can pad outside. Light the wood burner in the lounge area, then take a seat on the sofa to watch the Smart TV in its cosy glow. Follow your four-legged friend through to the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner when tails start wagging at the thought of dinner. You will find everything you need in here to help you cater for your party. A handy utility room is the perfect place to rinse damp dog towels and there is a useful separate WC. Settle your furry pal for the night, then head off to either the super-king-size bedroom or the king-size, both of which have Smart TVs. The super-king-size can also be set up as a twin by prior arrangement. Choose between a long bubble bath and refreshing shower in the family bathroom. Outside, cook supper on the BBQ on fine evenings, then toast beside the fire pit with your faithful friend at your side. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Venture 20 miles from the lodge to take your happy hound to explore the Blackdown Hills with you. Exmoor National Park, with its great dog walks, is 11 miles away.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 king-size and 1 super-king-size (zip-and-link beds which can be made into a twin upon request)
  • If booking within 3 days prior to your arrival, the bedrooms will be set up as doubles and cannot be amended

Wonderful holiday. The Lodge is spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. The grounds are fabulous - private and peaceful. Perfect for everybody including dogs and fishermen! Our second visit and within 2 hours of arrival my husband said that we must book again - which speaks for itself!

This is an amazing place, the best we have ever stayed in. We didn't venture from the property much as it was so relaxing. We stayed at Bourne lodge over Christmas and have had a amazing stay, we stay in cottages often and this has been a favourite. The photos really dont do it justice, we were so shocked with just how lovely it is inside and out, its so spacious but cosy for a winter stay! Although we stayed in December I imagine it would be a lovely summer stay too, Read morethe outside space is spacious and has places to relax with a fire pit overlooking the lake. Even in winter though the view was so impressive from the moment we drove in, we loved looking out to the lake and watching the wildlife. The beds are extremely comfortable, we wanted to take them home! We found the lounge really comfortable to relax in too, with the real fire and the very large tv that was modern and high quality unlike most. The kitchen is very well stocked with high quality products like the coffee machine, we had everything needed to cook a full Christmas dinner with no issues. There was treats and supplies for everything we needed for our dog too, who loved the stay as well, watching out of the windows at the birds and warming up near the fire. We cant find one thing to fault this place, already are planning to come back and will be recommending to anyone! Hide
