We were a party of 13 including 5 children and 8 adults ranging from 1year old to 70 years old. The property is ideally placed for a large gathering of family and friends. Ideally located for the local villages and coastal towns. The beaches in the area are fantastic, unspoilt and clean. The property needs some TLC and is a but tired. However, thisRead more did not take away any enjoyment from our holiday. We had fantastic weather and were able to sit out every night and enjoy the sunsets. Local wildlife of bats flying around at dusk got the childrens attention. Hide

We hired the entire property, which comprised the main 'barn' and the adjoining converted 'stables'. Allowing the more senior members some escape & quiet time. On the whole the accomadation and furniture was okay, but well used.

A very good cottage in an excellent location. It would be easy to say the property could do with some modernising but then, this would take away some of the character and quirkiness. Hence my family of 15, ranging from 11 months to 70 years of age, really enjoyed our stay. We are a family who like to cook and eat together and the cottage has a greaRead moret set of kitchen equipment to do this. The cottage is in a great position for local walking, with the beach (at Holme) and a couple of pubs, within easy reach. Venture out by car or by the local bus service and places like Sandringham, Wells Next the Sea and Kings Lynn are nearby. Hide

We loved the character of these barns - spacious living accommodation and superb enclosed garden. However 2 bedrooms do not have windows and there is no shortage of cobwebs. With just a bit of remedial work our review would have been so much more positive.

What a fantastic place to stay! We were a family group - 8 adults, 3 children and a baby - aged from 85yrs to 1yr, celebrating my pensionable birthday. We loved the barn and it was great to have the annex for the 'oldies' to retire to if it got too hectic in the main barn! The kitchen and scullery were well-stocked with crockery, utensils and champRead moreagne flutes, though the wine glasses were a bit scarce. The boys were particularly taken with the moose in the kitchen... The garden was ideal for the boys to run around and the seclusion meant that we didn't have to worry about their shouting and yelling. We spent a lot of time sitting outside under the pergola while they all romped. The village shop was well-stocked with all sorts of things, quite a Tardis of a place, and having Lidl at Heacham and Tesco at Hunstanton meant we were spoilt for choice when it came to shopping. The boys very much enjoyed the local playground as well. We all enjoyed watching the hares that appeared in the back field and listening to the tawny owls over the drive, while the bats flitted around us. We went to the beach, to the Sealife Centre, Holkham and Sandringham, to RSPB Titchwell and, of course, Norfolk Lavender, where we had a splendid breakfast after leaving Field Barn. We have every intention of staying again - it was just great to find somewhere big enough and as lovely as this to take all of us. I must also mention the property maintenance team, who were first class - we had a few small issues, but they resolved them really quickly. We have never stayed anywhere with a such a great team! We look forward to another visit. Hide

Field Barn is a fantastic property for a large family gathering as ours was. The fully enclosed garden is brilliant for young children to safely run around and the separate cottage provides a sanctuary to those needing a retreat. Beautiful setting and well equipped. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic barn and adjoining cottages. Really warm and worked well for our group. Unfortunately it's not really set up for more than 8 guests. Not enough seating in either the snug, the main area or the kitchen. The whole house needed a good clean cobwebs, dead flies and mouse dropping.
