Climb the stairs to reach a family bathroom with a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower. Also on the first floor is a king-size bedroom and a twin room. Outside is a private garden with a dog shower, and furniture for dining alfresco.
While staying in Holkham Estate, you’ll be on the edge of Holkham National Nature Reserve where you can take your hounds to stretch their legs amongst the salt marshes. Hire a boat on Holkham’s lake and take the little ones to Holkham Woodland Play Area (1 mile). Learn the history of the estate inside Holkham Hall or take a picnic to the walled garden (1 mile). Just 1.5 miles away is the golden shores of Holkham Beach – from here you can follow the Norfolk Coast Path to Burnham Overy Staithe (3 miles). Further afield in the Norfolk Coast National Landscape are the sand dunes and mud flats of Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve (6 miles). Don’t miss a trip to Burnham Market (4 miles) for its pop-up stalls.
