The charm of this countryside cottage is created by its traditional interiors with beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and a cosy wood burner. Escape to West Wales with your small family or partner, plus two beloved hounds, for a holiday filled with relaxing countryside strolls, lazy beach days and tail-wagging adventures in the Cambrian Mountains.

Make yourself at home in the atmospheric lounge with wooden furnishings and eye-catching exposed stone walls. Two comfortable sofas sit on either side of the coffee table and benefit from the warmth of the crackling wood burner. On a warm day, you can open the patio door and let the breeze flow through the house. Continue into the kitchen to find a one-wall fitted unit with wooden cabinets and dark surface tops. Climb the stairs to reach two characterful double bedrooms with sloped beamed ceilings, served by a well-appointed family bathroom. Outside is an enclosed garden with a lawn and furniture.

During your stay in a rural location near the hamlet of Pontrhyd-Saeson (1 mile), you could take your four-legged friends for a walk along the crystalline streams of Ty Nant Water (0.5 miles). Head west to reach the rugged coastline of Cardigan Bay (6 miles) for opportunities to swim, kayak or surf. Visit the quaint harbour town of Aberaeron (7.5 miles) to sample some seafood or relax on the beach. Just 5 miles away is the scenic Llannon Coastal Walk hiking area. The Granary is a wonderful oasis of peace and tranquility, whilst having easy access to both coast and mountains. The owner is a lovely, friendly host, available if we needed anything, but otherwise unobtrusive.
