A lovely cottage in a very nice area, the garden of England. The flowers in the rooms made us feel very welcome. We spend a nice week in Red Leaves.

Heerlijke cottage!

Very comfortable cottage with everything anyone would need. Spacious rooms, excellent beds, good shower. Owner kindly gave us a Xmas tree plus tea/coffee, milk biscuits. A bit difficult turning the car due to a low wall.

Red Leaves Cottage is a delightful spacious property located as it is, centrally in Kent. Visits to Dover Castle, Canterbury and the National Trust estate of Sissinghurst were within easy reach for us. Access to parking needs care and attention.

Overall a nice and cosy cottage, which is spacious and well equipped. The beds are big and very comfortable. The location was very central to explore the area and drive to places. The downside was, that with open windows, we found the busy road going by the house very loud in the mornings, earplugs could be a good idea. Additional noise was unfoRead morertunately caused by a building site at the house next door, so that the beeping and banging noises were very disturbing during our stay and would wake us up very early. I would check before booking, if the building site is completed. Also we found it quite tricky to drive into the driveway and reverse the car, as it was very narrow. RESPONSE from holidaycottages.co.uk - Thank you for your review. We have been assured the contractors in the village do not start work before 8am. The property is located next to an A road giving it great access to all that Kent has to offer. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Red Leaves, Charing is a quaint village well placed to access lots of Kent. Cottage was clean and well equipped, wonderful shower and nice garden space for kids/dog. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Everything was clean and well presented. It is situated on the edge of Charing village, on the road to Canterbury. There are several useful village shops.

This is a very nice, comfortable cottage. The North Downs across the road. Car parking is on the main road I found it difficult to find on a dark rainy night. But a phone call to the proprietor gave me immediate advice and personal direction. All good. Bird song in the morning a little occassional road noise from quads on Pilgrims walk. Take care if you are backing in to the driveway as it is very narrow and there is a very low brick wall either side and it is easy to damage a tyre/wheel. There was plenty of glasses and crockery but often difficult to reach without using the steps provided.

Really nice place to stay, very central to where we wanted to visit. Clean and tidy with all mod cons. It is beside a very noisy road so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Driveway entrance is tight for modern cars, and opens on to a very busy road. For drivers coming from the Canterbury direction I would advise you to carry on down the hillRead more, go round the roundabout and approach the driveway from the opposite side of the road, it makes for an easier entrance.
