The open-plan layout, games barn and three separate lawned areas make this property ideal for entertaining.

Start your celebrations in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with wooden furnishings and monochrome decor which create a rustic feel while the patio doors connect you to the outdoors. Climb the stairs to reach a family bathroom with a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower plus three bedrooms – two king-size, one with vaulted ceilings and an en-suite shower room, and a twin zip-and-link bedroom. Outside are extensive grounds with three lawns and a decked area with furniture and a BBQ. There is also a small copse with tree swings and goal posts plus a games barn with table tennis, a pool table, and a dartboard.

Located down a country lane, you’ll be surrounded by the North Devon countryside while just 1 mile from the village of Goodleigh. Here you can explore the Ancient Saxon Bridge and Combe Woods hiking area or dine out at the local pub. Set tails wagging on a trip to the North Devon National Landscape where you can catch some waves at the dog-friendly Saunton Sands (11 miles) and soak up the panoramic sea views from National Trust Baggy Point (15.5 miles). Also nearby is the lively town of Barnstaple (4 miles) and the large village of Braunton (9 miles).

  • 4 bedrooms – 2 king-size, 1 super-king-size zip-and-link (can be made into twins on request), and 1 twin
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 bathroom with a free-standing bath, walk-in shower and WC, 1 en-suite shower room with shower and WC, and 1 separate WC
  • Range electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, wine fridge and a Nespresso coffee machine
  • Wood burner (first basket of logs included)
  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • Off-grid – electricity supplied by solar and battery storage, and a backup diesel generator which is in the games room
  • 3 separate lawn areas with tree swings and goal posts, a decking area with seating, a fire pit and a charcoal BBQ
  • Games room with full-size table tennis, full-size pool table and a dartboard, and a few board games
  • Pub 1 mile, shop 4.5 miles and beach 11 miles
  • The track to the house changes condition depending on the weather, and if the farmer is using it for moving the cows from field to milking. The first part of the track is concrete planks, it then turns to gravel and some mud, before turning back to concrete for the last section down to the houses. Regardless of the weather it is always usable in a normal family car, nobody has ever got stuck, but if wet conditions wheels and wheel arches will get muddy.

  • 3 dogs allowed. Additional charges may apply

Wonderful break, very secluded and quiet but only 10mins from town. Excellent house for extended family gathering, plenty of space, wish we had longer.

Great Location! If you want beatiful views, no traffic noise, no artificial light for stargazing and no neighbours this is the perfect house stay. Games barn BBQ and fire pit were a hit with our teenagers and the house was plenty big enough for 6.

We had a fabulous time. We stayed with a family of 8 ranging from 9-87 years old and the house suited us all down to the ground. The interior was beautiful and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with lovely views to the garden and beyond. We particularly loved the gardens that were large and wild and the meandering paths that the kids and our two laRead morerge dogs had fun exploring. The swallows nesting next to the decking area were a treat to watch especially when the babies fledged the nest during our stay. The location is within 30-40 mins drive of the fabulous north Devon beaches and 10 mins drive to Barnstaple town. The drive down to the property is slippy when wet so only suitable for family cars not vans etc. Hide

We had a wonderful week at Hidden Valley Farmhouse. The cottage is lovely, with a great kitchen and living space, and the deck has beautiful views across the countryside. We really enjoyed our holiday and would love to return one day.

We had such a lovely weekend stay. The property and house are both stunning. While the short road to the house is a bit rough, just take it slow! Every space in the house is thoughtfully designed and cozy. The kitchen is well-stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. The games barn was such a fun bonus. Would absolutely stay here again. The agents were responsive and supplied a cot for our infant, the games room was fun and the garden was absolutely lovely. The drive is tricky in wet weather but the house is spacious and spotlessly clean. Beds are comfy and we enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing stay at Hidden Valley Farmhouse, the location is idyllic and so beautiful, peaceful and tranquil.
