Beamed ceilings, exposed brickwork and far-reaching countryside views create a traditional and welcoming feel inside this stone-built Welsh cottage. While staying in a rural location near Snowdonia National Park, you and up to four other guests and two beloved four-pawed companions can enjoy mountain hikes, wildlife spotting in nearby nature reserves and trips to quaint, picturesque villages.
As you enter the property you’ll be met with an inviting open-plan lounge/diner which is filled with natural light through the bay window and kept warm by the crackling wood burner. The lounge area has an added freshness from the blue furnishings amongst the beamed ceiling, exposed stone fireplace and exposed brick walls. Behind the sofas is a wooden dining table with six comfortable green chairs. Continue into the airy and spacious kitchen to find a one-wall white and black fitted kitchen unit and an island with a breakfast bar. Also on the ground floor is a convenient utility room, a separate WC and a single bedroom with an en-suite wet room. Climb the stairs to reach a family bathroom with a freestanding bath plus two more bedrooms – a king-size and a twin room. Outside is an enclosed, walled garden to the front of the property and a rear lawn with furniture.
In the riverside village of Cemmaes in northern Powys you’ll find a local shop and a church. Practise your aim with an afternoon at the nearby shooting range (3 miles) or enjoy an active day out at the Dyfi Bike Park (7.5 miles). Discover the eateries, art gallery and historical landmarks of Machynlleth (6.5 miles). Take a picnic to Tan y Coed, hike around Tarren y Gesail or visit the Dolgoch Waterfall (all within 24 miles).
