Located in the village of Walberswick, this characterful and traditional two-bed cottage with a garden is a comfortable base for exploring the Suffolk coast. With its coastal motifs, wooden beamed ceiling, and open-plan layout, you and your small family or partner plus two canine companions can enjoy a comfortable and sociable getaway.
Step inside and make yourself at home in the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is connected to the outside with its French doors. In the lounge area, tones of red and white combine with wooden furnishings to create a welcoming atmosphere while you snuggle up on the sofa in front of the wood burner in an exposed stone inglenook fireplace. The kitchen/dining area on the other side of the room is decorated in tones of green with a compact U-shaped fitted unit and a wooden dining table. Upstairs you’ll find a family bathroom plus two double bedrooms with views of the garden and village green. Outside is an enclosed lawned garden with a patio, furniture, and a charcoal BBQ.
Start your day with a dog walk around the village and green before heading to the seafront for a dip at the sandy, dog-friendly Walberswick Beach (400 metres). Check out the local pubs and stop for refreshments at the tea rooms (less than 0.5 miles). Set tails wagging on a stroll around the Dunwich River Bridge hiking area (0.5 miles) and the Dingle Great Hill nature reserve (7 miles). Visit Walberswick Harbour and catch a ferry across the River Blyth to Southwold (1.5 miles) to discover the town’s museum, working lighthouse and pier. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day out at Framlingham Castle (18.5 miles) or meet the horses at the Suffolk Punch Trust (26.5 miles).
