This cottage is a great find. In the heart of the village, close to the sea, and all is cute and comfy inside. It's small but an amazing bargain. We couldn't hear any noise from the pub. Nice garden. Friendly helpful owners when we left the inevitable item behind!

This is a traditional two up, two down cottage with much charm in a great location for walking. A good sunny garden for sitting and dog friendly. Would book again.

Halfpenny is an idyllic, cosy cottage with the beach, local shops/pubs and plenty of walks on the doorstep. No issues with car parking outside the cottage or noise from the pub. Everywhere was clean and the beds were really comfortable. One of the deciding factors for us was the garden - both dogs loved the freedom and it turned out to be a lovely Read moresun trap, however, there is neighbour access through the garden as well as a break in the fence around the mature apple tree which might have been an issue for us had the neighbouring garden been used. We appreciated the friendly contact from owner Sally; it made us feel welcomed and reassured that someone was there for any issues. Overall its a great stay for anyone visiting the Suffolk coast who doesnt mind quirky staircases which is just part of the cottages lovely character. Hide

The cottage was perfect for us - a couple. The cottage is in a great situation close to the the harbour and beach and although next door to the Bell pub, we weren't disturbed at all. Thoroughly recommend.

Cottage was cosy and the location is brilliant. Ideal for ferry into Southwold and visiting local area. Garden was secure for our dog and nice to sit in. We went out of season and parking on road was available.

It is a great location, peaceful and close to the beach, and in October parking outside was never a problem. The garden is very sweet and safe for the dog, though the ability to walk out the front door with the dog off the lead meant she rarely used it. Choice of pubs locally but for us the pub two doors away was great and we were never disturbed bRead morey noise or cooking smells having it so close. Most cottages advertise internet connectivity, but here it is fast and reliable. It is no secret that the cottage is compact so the kitchen is basic and the stairs need to be descended with care. The owners were engaged and quick to respond to some issues we had.. Hide
