Stroll into the village for a wide range of shops, pubs, take-aways and restaurants. Wander around the colourful harbour to see the fishing boats and book a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the grey seals, a range of birds and wildlife, including puffins in the season. Walk or cycle north along the coastal path to visit

magnificent Bamburgh Castle, (3 miles) play on the vast sandy beach and browse the shops and restaurants, or south to Beadnell Bay (3.5 miles) for a picnic in the dunes, rock pooling and water sports. Cross the causeway to explore Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle (19 miles).

This beautifully presented stone-built house oozes quality and character with high ceilings, wood flooring and plenty of thoughtful touches to help you enjoy your holiday. It is set over three storeys and is the perfect choice for an extended family or friendship group looking for a memorable holiday at the seaside. Step into the porch and through to the entrance lobby and wide hallway with original wooden flooring, and a useful downstairs cloakroom/WC. Head to the traditional sitting room to relax and unwind on comfortable furniture with a wood burner for cosy evenings and a Smart TV for family movie nights. You will pass the spacious, formal dining room on your way to the kitchen with a large, picture window and wonderful sea views of the coastline and Bamburgh Castle. Enjoy truly sociable mealtimes and celebratory dinners sitting at the long dining table with plenty of seating for everyone and a warming wood burner adding to the ambience. The generous kitchen/family room is bright and inviting with all the modern appliances you would expect to find. There is a breakfast bar with three bar stools where you can sit and chat with the family cook, and at one end of the space, there is a comfortable sofa, and a Smart TV, and French doors which open onto the side garden and amazing coast and castle views. At the other end of the kitchen is another informal dining area with a table and bench-style seating, and French doors lead to the garden. The utility/boot room has a washer/dryer, and coat hooks and is a great place to dry off the dog after a beach walk. At bedtime, head upstairs to the first-floor landing where you will find four bedrooms, each with lovely views: there are three king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite comprising a shower cubicle and WC, and a family bedroom with a king-size bed, and a single bed. The bathroom on this floor comprises a roll-top bath, a walk-in shower and WC. On the second floor, there is a further family bedroom with a king-size bed, and a single bed.
