We very much enjoyed our week at Little Wagtail cottage. It is modern (no fears of insects or spiders etc as may be associated with old cottages) and it is therefore well insulated and comfortable. We wanted it as a retreat and as such it was ideal; although the owners are next door, they leave you to your own devices unless you want their assistaRead morence. Similarly with the other cottages. The owners kindly provide a variety of things, including a welcome pack of scones, clotted cream and jam, as well as milk, eggs, tea and coffee, and hand wash, towels etc. Very well equipped kitchen even a garlic press! Theres a downstairs cloakroom which we found very useful for visitors, as well as en suites upstairs, one with a bath and both with showers. In short, the cottage is ideal as a retreat, very comfortable, and very well appointed. We certainly intend to stay again next year. Hide

Little Wagtail was a great find. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and spacious, decoration and furniture were lovely. Double bed was very comfotable. Kitchen was large and well equipped and owners had provided washing machine and dishwasher tablets etc. which were very useful. The decking area was secure for the dog to be able to wander in aRead morend out of the cottage, owners had also provided a muddy paws dog wash, towels, dog treats and a water bowl. Excellent off road parking enough for two cars. The lane to the cottage is a public bridleway and is a little rough but its only a short distance to the road so it wasnt a problem. The scones, jam, cream, milk and fresh eggs that were waiting for us were very welcome and yummy. When l booked the cottage it stated there was a willow walk and a 350 acre paddock for walks but l received an email shortly before the holiday to say these were not available from September, it was disappointing as this was a strong factor when booking, however we still had a lovely week and still used the bridleway for walking the dog. Owners live next door and are on hand if you need anything, they kindly recommended The Half Moon Inn where we had a lovely meal for our anniversary. We had a great week and wouldnt hesitate to recommend the cottage to others. Hide
