Explore the breathtaking beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park from this delightful cottage in Dinas Cross. Sleeping six guests and one waggy-tailed companion, the property is the perfect bolthole for families and groups of friends looking to get away from it all. The cottage is 6 miles from the wide, sandy beach at Newport Sands, which welcomes furry beach-goers all year. For shopping and eating out, the vibrant towns of Newport and Fishguard are within 4 miles.
The cottage has a beautiful blend of period and contemporary features, with original beams and exposed stonework sitting alongside sleek furniture and bold paintwork. After a bracing coastal walk, snuggle up in the stylish lounge to watch a movie on the Smart TV or head through to the lounge/diner, where you’ll find a second seating area for relaxing with a good book. This area also has a gorgeous dining table for sharing mealtimes as a group. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout, creating numerous cosy dozing spots for the pup. Completing the ground floor is a contemporary, well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar for informal dining. With direct access to the outdoor area, this is a good place to set up the dog bed. The three elegant bedrooms are upstairs, two-king-size rooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin. A family bathroom with a free-standing bath rounds off this rural retreat. Outside, there is a small, paved area for sitting with a morning coffee as you plan your day.
Dinas Cross is a quaint village with a friendly pub and fish and chip shop. The village has a tiny, sheltered cove called Cwm-yr-Eglwys - the perfect setting for a peaceful picnic or a spot of wild swimming. Woofers are welcome here all year. There are some beautiful walks branching away from the village, including along the coast path around Dinas Island.
