This characterful cottage is in the quaint village of Axmouth, just 1.5 miles from Seaton. Sleeping six humans and two furry companions, the cottage is perfect for families and groups of friends looking to explore the dramatic Jurassic Coast. Walking opportunities in the area are endless, thanks to the South West Coast Path, and you’ll be within easy reach of many paw-friendly beaches.
The 19th-century stone cottage is brimming with character and charm, thanks to fabulous, exposed beams and stonework, and quirky original features. Traditional furniture and accessories help add to the homely vibe of the cottage. After a day of walkies, snuggle up in the inviting lounge where comfortable seating and a roaring wood burner await. The large kitchen has ample space for your furry chums to set up camp, as well as all the equipment needed for a self-catering holiday. A step leads through to the light-filled sunroom, where you can dine together overlooking the garden. The three attractive bedrooms are upstairs, two doubles and a twin, all with country-cottage styling. A family bathroom completes the interior. Outside, the south-facing garden is a real suntrap, with furniture and a BBQ for outdoor dining. The garden has a lawn and is fully enclosed for waggy-tailed guests.
Seaton (2 miles) has a great selection of paw-friendly cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The pebble beach enjoys breathtaking views along the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast and is a lovely spot for a picnic (the far end of the beach welcomes four-legged visitors all year). For an alternative view of the landscape, take a ride with the hounds on the Seaton Tramway which meanders through the beautiful Axe Valley, or stride out along the dramatic South West Coast Path towards Beer or Lyme Regis.
