This charming cottage sits within Padstow’s popular harbour area, surrounded by its quirky shops, cute coffee shops, and seafood restaurants. The property sleeps six guests and two pooches, and makes a great base for families and groups of friends wishing to explore the coast paths, woof-welcoming beaches, and idyllic towns and fishing villages of North Cornwall. Nearby walkies include the South West Coast Path and the traffic-free Camel Trail.
The characterful cottage, which dates back 200 years, boasts beautiful, beamed ceilings and exposed stonework. After a long coastal walk with Rover and Fido, relax in the welcoming lounge, where an array of colourful seating is arranged around a Smart TV. A separate kitchen/diner has everything you need to rustle up tasty meals and hearty breakfasts, and completing the ground floor is a stylish bathroom and handy utility room. From the lounge, an open-tread staircase weaves its way to the first floor and the three tastefully decorated bedrooms – a king-size room, a double and a cosy bunk room. There is no outside space, but with the harbour on your doorstep and exhilarating coastal walks nearby, you’ll have plenty of choice when it comes to morning walkies.
Take a relaxing stroll around Padstow’s vibrant harbour, watching the fishing boats coming and going, before striding out along the South West Coast Path to visit one of the nearby, paw-friendly beaches, such as St George’s Cove (1 mile) or Harbour Cove (3 miles). If you and the hounds fancy getting out on the water, you’ll also find boat trips and wildlife safaris departing from the harbour in the summer months. Further afield, enjoy doggy days out to Tintagel Castle (21 miles) or the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac (15.5 miles).
