With fabulous sea views, an enclosed south-facing garden, and plenty of space to kick back and relax, this contemporary cottage is perfect for a family group of five, along with one canine companion. As it’s set in such a wonderful position right by the coast, you can spend days exploring the Northumberland coastline or head inland to discover the picturesque countryside routes before retreating to this welcoming holiday home.

Pop on your walking boots and dog leads in the hallway before heading into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Let sleeping dogs lie in front of the warming gas fire, while you watch films on the Smart TV and comfortable sofas. To the other end of the room is a dining table with six seats, and a breakfast bar separating the kitchen from the space. Rustle up tasty meals as you socialise with your loved ones. French doors lead through to a bright conservatory which has further seating and overlooks the garden. When you are ready for some shut-eye, head upstairs to the first floor. Here you will find a king-size bedroom with a TV and fantastic sea views from the window, a double bedroom, and a single bedroom. Completing the interior is a family bathroom with a walk-in shower. The pretty, enclosed garden at the rear contains seating for al fresco dining, and artificial grass so the dog’s paws won’t get too muddy.

This holiday home is situated in the quaint coastal village of Seaton Sluice, which has a pretty harbour and a wonderful sandy beach. You can also find several pubs and restaurants within the village too. Sniff out adventures along the coastal path to Blyth (2.5 miles), or go for a walk alongside the trickling stream of Seaton Burn which passes some lovely views. The National Trust-owned Delaval Hall is only a mile away, while St Mary’s Island and Lighthouse is a 2-mile walk.

Ideal location for walks;shops and pub for food. Cottage was very clean and well equipped to make stay very relaxing. Was dog friendly as were many pubs and coffee shops in the local area. Information booklet was helpful and all in all we had a very enjoyable stay!

Beautifully furnished, decorated and presented property. Ideal location for exploring the lovely beaches, coastal walks to Blyth and Whitley Bay. Shops and pubs virtually on the doorstep so no negatives whatsoever, also dog friendly so if you take your furry friend with you there are plenty of great walks for them to enjoy too.

We had a lovely week. The location was fantastic with views to the sea & lots of coastal walks. The house had everything we needed & we would very recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rocky Island View Cottage, the view was special and it was great being so close to the beach and coastal paths while at the same time being close to all the town's amenities like convenience stores and pubs. It was easy to park and the property was easy to find. The property was beautifully furnished and immaculately Read moreclean. We hardly used the car since the coastal walks were close and took us wherever we wanted to go. The beaches were wonderful, golden sands and never crowded, with opportunities to spot dolphins if you were lucky! Hide

A lovely house, a real home away from home. Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfy with very good quality linen and towels. Dog towels in the porch was a nice touch. The area is great for exploring more of Northumberland but equally the local beach and walks were lovely with a coupRead morele of nice pubs within a few metres walk. I would recommend. Hide

This is a comfortable, well-equipped property in a great location. It has a great shower, super TV and is very handy for local amenities. The view of the sea was a bonus!

The property is very clean, well-appointed and well-maintained. It has great access to a lovely long stretch of sandy beach and is well-situated for day trips all along the Northumberland coast as well as inland to Alnwick and other places of interest.

Lovely, clean accommodation which was very well equipped for a short break. The area is great two with a couple of pubs very close to the property! The property is situated on a residential street but there was no issue with parking on the road outside during our stay.
