This seaside retreat is in the vibrant fishing village of Seahouses, on the beautiful Northumberland coast. The property sleeps six humans and two hounds and is the perfect home-away-from-home for large families. The paw-friendly beach is just 0.5 miles away and the pretty village of Bamburgh, with its spectacular clifftop castle, is 3 miles from the cottage.
The semi-detached holiday home enjoys a quiet, cul-de-sac location. Inside, the cottage is decorated in a contemporary style and has a sociable, open-plan layout. A cosy lounge provides a delightful place to unwind after a coastal walk with the hounds, with an array of comfortable seating set around a sleek, flame-effect electric fire. Watch movies together on the SkyTV or choose a family favourite from the selection of DVDs provided. An open archway leads through to the bright and airy kitchen/diner, where you’ll find ample space for the dog beds and direct access to the garden. Spend memorable evenings here, trying out new recipes and sharing mealtimes as a group. The three coastal-themed bedrooms are upstairs – one king-size room, one double, and a bunk bedroom that’s ideal for children. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, you’ll have a choice of two seating areas in the enclosed, south-facing garden. There’s also a lawn where children and pups can play.
Seahouses is an attractive fishing village with a good range of paw-friendly eateries, many of which serve delicious local seafood. Enjoy walks with Rover and Fido around the bustling harbour, or head down to the sandy beach, which welcomes four-pawed visitors all year. A 3-mile jaunt along the beach brings you to the charming village of Bamburgh, with its cute cafes, boutiques, and galleries. Further along the coast, you and your furry sidekicks can enjoy peaceful walks around the stunning Holy Island of Lindisfarne (19 miles).
