Enjoy a romantic break with your favourite human and hound in this stylish bolthole in Salhouse on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Embark on walks from your front door to the beautiful Salhouse Broad (1 mile), take a doggy day trip to the Norfolk coast (15 miles), or visit the cathedral city of Norwich (6 miles). In the evenings, share a bottle of wine in your private courtyard garden.

A private driveway leads to this stylish, annexe-style holiday home. A couple of steps lead to the front door, which opens into the lounge/kitchen/diner. This impressive space has a spectacular, vaulted ceiling and features statement furniture and an array of homely accessories. In one corner is a sleek kitchen for rustling up tasty dinners for two, which can be enjoyed at the wooden dining table. After dinner, snuggle up on the sofa or curl up in an armchair to watch the Smart TV. Hard floors run throughout the ground floor, making it easy to deal with the odd muddy pawprint. Just off the living space is a fabulous king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, you and the hound can soak up the sunshine in the enclosed courtyard garden.

Salhouse is a pretty village with a handful of shops and a woof-welcoming pub. A 1-mile walk along a wooded path leads from the village to Salhouse Broad. Here, you can enjoy strolls along the boardwalks or through the shady woodlands that hug the water’s edge. There’s also a unique, sandy beach to explore and numerous picnic spots. A climb to the top of the hill behind the beach offers stunning views across the water. For a day at the seaside, journey 15.5 miles to Caister-on-Sea where you’ll find a sand and pebble beach that welcomes woofers all year.

The cottage is very comfortable and the equipment is of a high standard. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and my stay was very enjoyable overall. The cottage's location near Norwich and the Broads is ideal.

We have just spent a wonderful week at 23c Lower Street. The location is great for the Broads: just a mile walk down the lane to Salhouse Broad. There are two pubs that do good food: one is half a mile further on from Salhouse broad and the other is just 200m from the property in the other direction. The property itself is lovely and very well preRead moresented. The appliances are high end - Kitchen Aid, Le Creuset etc and nice touches like Molton Brown hand wash. A welcome package of wine, chocolate and biscuits was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great too. The private courtyard was fabulous. We were blessed with very good weather, and being able to sit out in the morning with a coffee planning our day and then again in the evening with a glass of wine was very relaxing, especially as the table and chairs were super comfy. Johnathon and Mercedes were the perfect hosts: at the end of a text if needed and a friendly chat, but gave us our privacy too. I would highly recommend this property and wouldnt hesitate to book again. Thank you. Hide
