As you enter the cottage, you’ll find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with neutral-toned decor, wooden furnishings, and an eye-catching exposed brick fireplace with a warming wood burner. Views of the countryside can be soaked up while gathered around the wooden dining table. The kitchen is tucked away in the corner of the room and has a traditional cottage appearance from its wooden cabinets and dark surface tops. To the left of the lounge is a twin room with an en-suite shower room. Down a small set of stairs is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom with a free-standing bath and an en-suite shower room. Upstairs, you’ll find a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outdoor seating, a play area with a trampoline, a BBQ and a firepit can be found in the garden which is encased in 5 acres of land – shared with neighbouring properties.
While staying on the outskirts of Upottery, you could head into the rural village for a drink at the local pub (0.5 miles). For a wider range of eateries and waterholes, visit the nearby market town of Honiton (5 miles). Head into the East Devon National Landscape (9.5 miles) for an afternoon at the traditional seaside town of Seaton (13.5 miles) and take Fido for a dip at Branscombe Beach (15 miles).
