Nestled among the mountains of East Cavan, Bailieborough is one of Ireland’s highest towns, offering fantastic walks for you and your faithful friend before returning home to this characterful cottage, complete with a warming wood burner in the cosy lounge and a private garden for frolics with Fido.

As the only cottage listed in this area we return each year. There is only one other, more modern house (and cheaper!) in Cavan but it is over at Belturbet so not the area we want (fishing, seeing friends). The cottage is warm and comfortable. Its location is good, quiet, near a town with all amenities and within reach of sites like Newgrange and BRead moreoyne valley. Even lively Westport is just 2 hours away. Hide
