This warm and welcoming property by the coast is a brilliant base for 14 humans and up to three hounds looking to explore the isle of Achill. The views from the windows are breathtaking, whilst the wood burner in the living room makes this a perfect place for a sleepy snooze in the late afternoon. From your doorstep, you’ll be well placed for rugged walkies along the breathtaking path of Keem Bay to Croaghaun Cliffs with your four-pawed pal in tow.
At the heart of the home, you’ll find not one, but two bright, spacious living rooms with plenty of places for all the family to gather together, one of which also features the property’s characterful wood burner. Perfect for socialising, the kitchen/diner ensures you’ll have everything you need to fix up a feast and serve it up to friends and family on the dining table overlooking the mountains. Two of the bedrooms are also located on the ground floor, with comfortable double beds, alongside a shower room and utility room for convenience. The staircase leads to a further five bedrooms and the family bathroom. Three light, bright bedrooms boast double beds and en-suite shower rooms for added privacy. In addition, there is another double bedroom and a twin bedroom which is ideal for children. Outside, you can make the most of the sunshine in the partially enclosed garden, furnished with a seating area and BBQ with space for your pups to stretch their legs.
Let your dog lead the way to adventure with a visit to the White Cliffs of Ashleam (8 miles) to see some of the most impressive views on the island, or wander past a series of pretty lakes including Lough Narnbrack (3 miles), Lough Gall (3 miles) and Lough Sruhill (4 miles). With plenty of scents to sniff and sticks to fetch on the trails in each location, you could spend hours with your canine companion exploring the sights and not be bored of its beauty.
