Six humans and three contented canines have the run of this charming abode, which boasts spacious yet cosy living spaces and a grassy garden with a picnic table and far-reaching views. Conveniently located near the heritage town of Ardara, this makes a superb base for exploring the region’s beaches, waterfalls, mountains, lakes and towns.

Step inside this delightful retreat to find cosy interiors in a simple, minimalist style. With breathtaking views from the windows and a roaring open fire, the lounge invites relaxation after days roaming beach and countryside. The kitchen/diner is well equipped for meal prep with all the essential appliances, along with a circular table for family meals. Alternatively, dine alfresco at the picnic table in the garden or simply enjoy a glass of wine and the views, while kids and dogs play on the grass. Downstairs, a double bedroom and a fun bunk room perfect for children share the family bathroom. Upstairs a second double and second bathroom ensure there’s ample space for everyone to feel right at home.

Colourful and quaint, Ardara (5 miles) has a great selection of shops and eateries, fascinating heritage in Donegal tweed, and a reputation as the festival capital of the county. From here you can pick up the Glengesh Pass, a scenic, winding road with stunning views over the Loughros Peninsula and beyond. Waterdogs will love visiting Asaranca waterfall (9 miles), one of the region’s most impressive cascades, while sandy beaches such as Maghera Beach offer the opportunity for your pups to feel the sand between their paws.
