Pack your walking boots and dog toys for a wholesome break in this traditional countryside cottage in County Waterford. Up to four guests and one canine companion can stay in this semi-detached farmhouse with an open-plan living space, open fire and a garden. Spend your time away exploring the South Ireland Coast, scenic walking trails and the city of Cork.

As you enter the property, you’ll notice the characterful features in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – like the vaulted ceiling, open fire and picture windows looking out onto the countryside. On one side of the room is a compact one-wall kitchen with wooden cabinets and multi-coloured tiles. Walk past the dining table to reach the lounge area with an eye-catching exposed brick fireplace with an open fire. Surrounding this is a large corner sofa. Completing the interior is a family shower room, a twin room and a double bedroom. Outside, is a partially enclosed garden with furniture and a BBQ.

While staying in rural County Waterford, you could take Fido for a stroll along the winding river (less than 0.5 miles) and visit the imposing Lismore Castle (3.5 miles). Head to the town of Tallow (2 miles) for some hearty Irish cuisine. Spend a day exploring the coast and go for a dip at Ballinwilling Beach (24.5 miles) or walk along the Ballycotton Cliffs (25 miles). Also within reach is the lively city of Cork (34.5 miles) which is an excellent place to delve into Irish history, dine out and pick up some local produce at the 18th-century food market.

This is a very comfortable cottage in a stunning setting. The owner, Willie, could not be more helpful. Its ideally placed for day visits to interesting places. Great value. Car crucial to get food supplies.

Our hoilday was quite a dream, we were greeted by the owner who is very kind and helpful, the cottage has breath taking views.If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

This is an excellent cottage, well located with glorious views over the Bride valley. Willie is an excellent and knowledgeable host. We had a great time.

We had a nice peace holiday in this farm location.The sheep were in the fields in front with young lambs and the river flowing along the boundary was lovely.Comfortable bed,fluffy towels,extra duvet to keep warm on frosty nights.Plenty of cutlery and good quality plates...cooking utensils.
