Step inside to find an elegant lounge with large windows, a feature wall with an eye-catching period-style fireplace and colourful soft furnishings. Surrounding the wood burner are comfortable sofas and armchairs. Continue into the stylish kitchen and cook a hearty meal to enjoy in the dining room – where a table sits beside a row of windows looking out onto the garden. Also on the ground floor is a utility room, family bathroom and two bedrooms – a twin room and a family room containing a double and single bed. Climb the stairs to reach a single bedroom, an en-suite double and an en-suite king-size room. Outside, is a partially enclosed garden with a lawn, BBQ and furniture.

While staying near the small village of Cushin, explore your surroundings to sniff out the ruins of MacPhilbin’s Castle (1 mile) and the Aille Caves (2 miles). Dine out in Westport (4 miles) or pop to the town’s local bakeries or bike hire shop. Also near here is the grand Westport House and the Great Western Greenway cycle trail. Visit Lough Mask (11 miles) or head along the coast to find Berta Beach (11.5 miles) and Carrowmore Beach (18 miles).
