What a great base to explore the Galway area. A most welcoming host, David ensured we were well informed regarding everything from good eating to all the Regions best venues. The accommodation is a traditional 18th century Irish thatched cottage, set in a farming community. If you want a relaxing base at a reasonable price this is first class. Read more Hide

We enjoyed the week in the cottage, the cottage was very clean and there is all the amenities that you need, we found the cottage very cold at night, we were offered the heating but we think that it should be included in the price, as there have been other comments also suggesting that the place is cold. The cottage is a fair distance from KinvarraRead more and also from the nearest pub. Both are not walkable for pensioners. The only thing that I suggest is to have Wi-Fi connected, this might cost a bit for the owner but it would make better entertainment at night. If I need to be truthful the only things that we didnt like was being charged for electricity, I didnt notice that in the information, if I have had seen it I think it would have put me off. Also the sitting area outside, there is only a wooden table, it doesnt look very comfortable. The cottage is adequate but it would bo a lot better with a few changes. Hide

Had a great stay at the cottage. The hosts were great, there to welcome us and show us how everything worked and also on the end of the phone when we needed them. House was lovely and warm, despite the cold weather. Enjoyed a local walk and a visit to the local pub. What more could you ask for.

The cottage is picture perfect from the outside and is in a stunning location. I found the inside a bit old fashioned and some of the equipment could do with updating. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable about the area.

We had the most enjoyable holiday this week. The cottage is a a beautiful location with everything you need. Our children, aged 4 & 7 loved it! The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable and gave us lots of local tips. Kinvara is a lovely little village to be close to. We would highly recommend the cottage to families!
