Immerse yourself in life on a working farm at this traditionally styled cottage for couples near the Suffolk coast. Boasting a cosy open-plan living area, this property encourages guests to unwind and make the most of the time they have with their loved ones. Make the most of being beside the sea by spending a day at the beautiful Kessingland Beach (4 miles) for invigorating walks along the shingle shore all year round which is sure to set tails wagging.

The open-plan living room/kitchen/diner is characterful with exposed beams across the ceilings and rich tones of red and terracotta. Here you can sink into the velvet sofas to watch a film or set up an evening of board games on the dining table to a spot of friendly competition. Meanwhile, the kitchen area is small but perfectly formed with a Belfast sink and all the facilities you need to prepare meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bedrooms are accessible via the charming wooden staircase, leading you to the elegant bedrooms, one of which features a double bed whilst the other has a single bed. Finally, the bathroom completes the interior layout with a wood-panelled bathtub and overhead shower. The garden comprises an intimate seating area with far-reaching views of the countryside where you could easily lose hours watching the world go by.

For something a little more unusual, why not pay a visit to Thorpeness Meare (22 miles)? This unique location is home to a whimsical lake with tail-wagging walks, ornamental gardens and plenty of things to see and do for all the family, including pups!
