This spectacular coastal escape is in the charming village of Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. The large property sleeps ten guests and three furry sidekicks, and offers large social spaces, both indoors and outside, as well as a hot tub and games room. You’ll be just 3 miles from the picture-postcard village of Bamburgh and 18 miles from Northumberland National Park.

Enter the detached property via the boot room, where you can store all your dog-walking gear. From here, move through to the spacious kitchen/diner, with its cosy, double-sided wood burner and relaxing views of the garden. With underfloor heating and easy access to the outdoor space, this is the perfect spot for the hounds to set up camp. The stylish kitchen area has everything needed to cater for a large group, and there’s a farmhouse-style dining table to seat everyone. There are three gorgeous bedrooms on the ground floor, two with en-suite shower rooms. You’ll also find a stylish family shower room on this level. After a busy day, retire upstairs to the welcoming lounge to watch the Smart TV, or read a book in the snug, in the glow of the wood burner. This room boasts an impressive, vaulted ceiling and enjoys far-reaching countryside views. The remaining bedrooms complete the first floor, one of which has a handy shower room and the other enjoying a balcony with a bistro set – the ideal spot for a peaceful morning coffee. Finally, an elegant family bathroom rounds off this stunning coastal retreat. The outside, decked area was designed with entertaining in mind. Two large tables, a BBQ, and ample seating are provided for al fresco dining, along with a hot tub for reviving aching limbs after a long walk with the woofers. Children will love the large, outdoor chess board, as well as the games room with its nine-in-one games table (you’ll also find deckchairs, beach equipment, and outdoor games in here). The outdoor space is fully enclosed, and there’s also a hot/cold tap for washing sandy paws after a trip to the beach.

The colourful fishing village of Seahouses is a delightful place for walkies with the hounds. Wander next to the harbour, watching the fishing boats coming and going, or head down to the sandy beach for a paddle along the shore or a scurry through the dunes. After a long walk, refuel in one of the village pubs or grab a bag of fish and chips from one of the renowned takeaways. Doggy days out from Seahouses include Bamburgh Castle (four-pawed visitors are welcome in the grounds and cafe) and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (19 miles).

A very well equipped house within walking distance of all Seahouses has to offer. Owners were quick to respond to a query we had . We were a party of 5 couples so it was great to have 5 bathrooms. On a very stormy weekend weather wise we were lovely and cosy in this beautiful house. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here

Excellent stay at this lovely house. Lots of facilities and everything catered for. Very warm and relaxing. Rooms are beautiful and very comfy. Very handy having towels for the hot tub which was lovely to relax in at the end of a day out. We enjoyed the board games of an evening. Watch out if you have to park under the trees as the crows roost theRead morere at night and can cause quite a mess but there is a hose to clean your car. Would highly recommend Hide

A great cottage. Super clean and very well equipped. The welcome tray was outstanding. Views excellent. Large enough for all 10 of us. Hot tub fantastic, would have liked a dip after being out for tea but I do understand why there is a 9pm cut off. Felt very safe and secure. Would highly recommend and would re visit.

Hastings House is probably the best cottage our family has stayed in! It looks lovely, really comfortable and spacious and has everything that you could possibly want and need! Fabulous house, well-equipped and comfortable. Have never rented anywhere with such a fully-equipped kitchen. Loved the two dishwashers, beach towels and the bathrobes supplied for rooms without en-suite. Two downstairs bedrooms were great for people with accessibility issues. Host was really helpful - responded quickly and offered us early check iRead moren and late check out since the property was available. Easy 15 mins walk to Seahouses harbour. The house was awesome all you could ever need, a few hiccups along the way but overall a great place to visit. Location great, clean property although getting the 5 bedrooms clear and stripped ready for the cleaners for 9 am was a challenge.

The house was beautiful. Very clean, exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. Having 2 kettles and 2 dishwashers was especially useful. Everything just worked really well for us. Very useful that every room had its own bathroom / en suite and everyone felt the beds were comfy. The welcome hamper was a lovely thought. The hot tub was a high poiRead morent used frequently by some of us and the complete security offered by the outside area, for when we had a dog with us also made life much easier. It was a 12 - 15 minute walk to the harbour ( some of us walked faster than others. The house is in a good location for access to Seahouses and for walks from the house. We were fortunate to have great weather for the time of year, so had a great stay from every perspective. Hide

This was a really practical house for multiple families to stay in - with 5 really good sized bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The kitchen is really well appointed and the dining space is brilliant. There are beautiful views from the upstairs, you can see the sea and lots of open farmland with a lovely stables behind the house. There are thoughtful toucheRead mores throughout the house, with rooms not having their own en suite having dressing gowns for privacy and a lovely welcome pack that was a great start to the holiday. The kitchen is packed with everything you could possibly need in terms of utensils and equipment and the two dishwashers are brilliant. A couple of comments to make people aware of before they book - there are a few rules to follow. The hot tub is only 9am-9pm which was disappointing, dogs must be crated if left alone in the property despite the whole downstairs being stone floors, and there is no grass enclosed at the property if you are bringing dogs. There is grass around the property to the front but not as part of the garden. You also arent allowed to charge your cars - despite there being no real alternatives nearby. Also, you have to strip all the beds and be out the house by 9am, which is a little unreasonable. Seahouses itself is beautiful - there is plenty to do, to see, the food is brilliant regardless of what you are looking for. We cant recommend the boat trip to the Farne Islands highly enough and we walked to Bamburgh along the beach and it was brilliant. The house is a short walk from both the town centre and the beach, making it ideally situated for both! Hide
