This spectacular coastal escape is in the charming village of Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. The large property sleeps ten guests and three furry sidekicks, and offers large social spaces, both indoors and outside, as well as a hot tub and games room. You’ll be just 3 miles from the picture-postcard village of Bamburgh and 18 miles from Northumberland National Park.
Enter the detached property via the boot room, where you can store all your dog-walking gear. From here, move through to the spacious kitchen/diner, with its cosy, double-sided wood burner and relaxing views of the garden. With underfloor heating and easy access to the outdoor space, this is the perfect spot for the hounds to set up camp. The stylish kitchen area has everything needed to cater for a large group, and there’s a farmhouse-style dining table to seat everyone. There are three gorgeous bedrooms on the ground floor, two with en-suite shower rooms. You’ll also find a stylish family shower room on this level. After a busy day, retire upstairs to the welcoming lounge to watch the Smart TV, or read a book in the snug, in the glow of the wood burner. This room boasts an impressive, vaulted ceiling and enjoys far-reaching countryside views. The remaining bedrooms complete the first floor, one of which has a handy shower room and the other enjoying a balcony with a bistro set – the ideal spot for a peaceful morning coffee. Finally, an elegant family bathroom rounds off this stunning coastal retreat. The outside, decked area was designed with entertaining in mind. Two large tables, a BBQ, and ample seating are provided for al fresco dining, along with a hot tub for reviving aching limbs after a long walk with the woofers. Children will love the large, outdoor chess board, as well as the games room with its nine-in-one games table (you’ll also find deckchairs, beach equipment, and outdoor games in here). The outdoor space is fully enclosed, and there’s also a hot/cold tap for washing sandy paws after a trip to the beach.
The colourful fishing village of Seahouses is a delightful place for walkies with the hounds. Wander next to the harbour, watching the fishing boats coming and going, or head down to the sandy beach for a paddle along the shore or a scurry through the dunes. After a long walk, refuel in one of the village pubs or grab a bag of fish and chips from one of the renowned takeaways. Doggy days out from Seahouses include Bamburgh Castle (four-pawed visitors are welcome in the grounds and cafe) and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (19 miles).
