This stylish holiday home is in the vibrant seaside town of Teignmouth. The property sleeps eight guests and one canine companion, and is ideal for families and groups of friends seeking to explore the South Devon coast and countryside. As well as a myriad of paw-friendly beaches on your doorstep, you’ll also be just 10 miles from Dartmoor National Park. In the evenings, relax in the hot tub or enjoy a movie night in the sociable living area.
The Grade II-listed holiday home has a shared entrance hall, and stairs leading to the front door through to a private hallway with space for a dog bed. Once inside, you’ll find a stylish abode, with monochrome decor and sleek furniture. The main living area is open plan, comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. There’s an elegant lounge area with comfortable seating and a Smart TV, as well as a choice of dining areas at the formal table or breakfast bar. Heading upstairs, you’ll find two stylish bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor. The master king-size bedroom is on the second floor, and has a sofa and Smart TV. You’ll also find a king size bedroom (can be separated to a twin, select your preference when booking) and a shower room on this floor, along with a handy kitchenette for making breakfast or a morning coffee. The property comes with a choice of three outdoor areas: just off the living area, through the French doors, is an enclosed courtyard with outdoor seating and a hot tub – perfect for reviving weary limbs after a long dog walk. From the kitchen, you can access a second courtyard area with furniture for al fresco dining. Again, this area is fully enclosed for your furry friend. Finally, you’ll also have a balcony with sun loungers (please note, this space is reached via a metal staircase and is not suitable for young children).
Teignmouth is an attractive coastal town, with a Victorian pier, a long promenade, and traditional seaside attractions. You’ll find a great range of paw-friendly eateries, many of which serve delicious local seafood. Teignmouth sits on the South West Coast Path, offering spectacular dog-walking opportunities, and also marks the end of the Templer Way, which follows the Stover Canal. The town’s River Beach welcomes hounds all year, and you’ll find further woof-welcoming coves and hidden beaches across the water in Shaldon.
Why not attend one of the many events in the area like the Shaldon Regatta, Torbay Air Show, Devon County Show and there are many local food and music festivals to enjoy.
