Property code: OC-S28329

In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this fabulous holiday property has incredible views and is surrounded by glorious walks of all kinds. A superb interior and the added bonus of an enclosed patio make it an ideal destination for friends and families bringing their beloved canine companion.

This high-quality cottage is impeccably decorated throughout in a timelessly elegant style. Hang the lead in the hallway and head straight up the stairs to find the bright, open-plan living space. Here, soft, natural tones create a wonderful place in which to snuggle up, your hound at your feet, enjoying the views of the Dales or a programme on the Freeview TV after a meal at the large dining table. The kitchen area contains everything you’ll need, including plenty of cupboard space for storing doggie treats and food. The bedrooms are divided between the ground and second floors. On the ground floor, there’s a spacious double with a TV and en-suite bathroom, and on the second floor, you have the choice of another double and a twin, sharing a family bathroom. The raised patio at the back, on a tiered site and accessed via a gate and steps, is equipped with a picnic bench so you can enjoy a meal while watching your furry bestie play.

The cottage is in the centre of Hawes, famously the home of Wensleydale cheese (the Creamery is less than 0.5 miles away) and where cobbled streets lead you to friendly pubs and places to eat. This is a superb base for walkers, with moors, hills and valleys just around the corner. Hike to Hardraw Force, 1.5 miles, England''s highest single-drop waterfall, or visit Jervaulx Abbey, 21 miles, an atmospheric ruin surrounded by stunning parkland where you can walk with your four-legged friend on a lead.

Great location right in the centre of Hawes with parking right outside the front door. Despite being very close to two pubs, there was zero noise or disturbance. Everything was clean and tidy and well equipped, including dishwasher & cleaning supplies. The property also has a useful Utility Room with washing machine and freezer which doesn't make iRead moret into the headline description on the website. The views out the back are fantastic and there is a picnic bench/table in the little back garden that gets some good sun. Just be aware a (very lightly used) public footpath runs around the back on the property between the rear door (off the lounge) and the garden so you can't leave the rear door open and not be in the lounge or garden. As noted in a previous review, the bathrooms are in need of a bit of long term TLC, but that's not to put the property down. Highly recommended if it stays up or rent, which it may not as its up for sale. Hide

A lovely spacious home over three floors. It had everything we needed and was in a lovely location. The view out the back was stunning- I wish I could wake up to that every day!! The walks in the area are beautiful and if you want to you can ignore the car and just walk from the house each day. The house was very well equipped with everything you cRead moreould need apart from kitchen scales. The welcome pack had plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits as well as a small amount of milk. Would love to return some time although noticed the house is up for sale so may not be an option in future. Hide

Great location with views from the rear of open countryside (and associated sheep/ cattle). immediate access to local shops, pubs etc. Parking space (one) is provided which worked well for us. I have never seen so many kitchen utensils, pots, pans etc so it is ideal for those who want to cook especially for families. The utility area with washinRead moreg machine would also be ideal (we had no need to use it). One area where the property is a little tired is the two bathrooms which are due replacement but clean and functional and ideally located near bedrooms. So, overall, worth staying for a break. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Stags Fell! It was the perfect base for us, right in the middle of Hawes but just tucked away enough to avoid any noise. The main living area was great and the stable door looking over the fields was a huge hit with us and our children - they spent ages looking out and it was the most beautiful view. We had everything we neeRead moreded and were very comfortable. We would happily stay here again. Thank you. Hide
