This idyllic one-bedroom property is set in the Kent countryside on the outskirts of Biddenden. It’s a great choice for a couple plus one hound wanting long walks in nature and easy access to excellent pubs, restaurants, and local vineyards. Return to your south-facing garden and fire up the BBQ.

This charming barn conversion is full of elegance and easy comfort. Natural finishes and contemporary soft furnishings sweep through the ground floor creating a calming refuge. After a day of exploring, shrug off coats, store away boots, and step through to the open-plan kitchen. Fido can keep you company as you rustle up a bite to eat or open the patio doors and let your pup roam the extensive garden. Serve meals at the neat table in the oak-beamed dining area then relax in the armchair and watch as the sun dips behind the treetops. As the evening draws in, head up the oak staircase to the first floor where you’ll find a handy desk should you need to catch up on work. Alternatively, snuggle up on the sofa in the stylish sitting area and enjoy a film on the TV. From the sitting area, brilliant white walls sweep through to the serene king-size bedroom, and with nothing here to disturb you, you’ll be sure of a good night’s sleep. In the morning, Fido can stretch his legs on the fenced lawn while you sit at the patio table and linger over a lazy breakfast.

Enjoy countryside walks straight from the door or stroll into the quaint village of Biddenden (1.5 miles) and enjoy a meal at one of the dog-friendly pubs. Alternatively, clip on a lead and sample some English wines at a local vineyard. Further afield, Fido can explore Sissinghurst Castle Garden (4 miles) and Hole Park Gardens (7 miles) or for a day on the beach head to Camber Sands (18.5 miles).

I've so enjoyed my stay in The Apple Barn with Goldie, my 4 Yr old Cockapoo. She especially loved the safe garden. The tiny house is clean, warm and cosy with everything needed like home from home. Perfect for a single like ne or a couple.

We really loved our stay in the apple barn. Everything is charming and Cosy. You have everything you need. The well fenced garden was really an average for us with our husky. The bed was really comfortable which is rare when you rent an accommodation. There were towels and everything was fresh and clean. I definitely highly recommend it.

The conversion of a limited space into very comfortable accommodation for two has been done superbly. The first floor space has been especially well designed, especially the little work area at the top of the stairs as we had quite a bit to do on the laptop! The private garden was also delightful and will be even better when the apple trees mature.

A lovely conversion suitable for one or two people and their dog. Very convenient situation for sightseeing. Lovely and quiet and very agreeable hosts. Helpful when needed but otherwise left us alone. The garden was completely dogproof so we could let her out and not worry.

We had a great week staying at The Apple Barn, helped by the good weather. Although compact, the kitchen was very well equipped, the bed was comfy and there was a good shower; the attention to detail overall was appreciated. I wrongly assumed that as it wasn't on a main road or in a village it would be a quiet location, so was somewhat surprised hoRead morew busy the road was resulting in traffic noise from very early in the morning. Great location for visiting places such as Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle and Bodiam etc by car but difficult to explore from the cottage by foot or on bike due to the busy country lanes and lack of linking non-overgrown footpaths. We had a wonderful stay at The AppleBarn. It was small but perfectly formed - it had everything you could need for the perfect getaway. The garden was fully enclosed so no concerns about your four legged friend escaping. We had a lovely week here and would definitely recommend. Thank you to Pippa and David.
