Oozing character and charm, this converted chapel with arched windows, a rolltop bath and elegant ornaments makes for a memorable getaway for couples travelling with their furry friend. Spend your time away exploring the Norfolk countryside and enjoy visits to The Broads National Park or the nearby rural villages, before returning to crash in front of the roaring wood burner.
As you enter the property, you’ll be welcomed by a spacious open-plan living space which is flooded with natural light through the windows and glass doors to the garden. Snuggle up on one of the two plush sofas with a bottle of bubbly while Fido warms their paws in front of the wood burner. On the other side of the room is a contemporary ‘U’-shaped kitchen in blue and white where you can prepare a romantic meal for two. Dine together at the wooden table and chairs. The bathroom is found on the ground floor and upstairs is the super-king-size bedroom with a quirky semi-circular window overlooking the garden - the bedroom can be converted into a twin on request. Completing the upstairs is a contemporary shower room, giving guests a choice of two bathrooms. Outside is an enclosed, landscaped lawn where the dog can play safely, plus patio space with outdoor furniture where you can enjoy morning cuppas and al fresco meals.
During your countryside retreat, you’ll be staying on the outskirts of the village of Tusburgh. Here, you can visit the nearby historical Tasburgh Hillfort (1.5 miles), take Fido for a run around Burrfeild Park (1 mile) and spend an evening at the local restaurant. Put on your hiking boots and go for a stroll around Alison’s Butterfly Walk (2.5 miles) and along the streams at the Flordon Common (2 miles). Venture into The Broads National Park (9.5 miles) to find the dramatic ruins of Bigod Castle (10.5 miles) and the North Cove Nature Reserve (20.5 miles).
