An idyllic couple’s escape at any time of the year, this fabulous cottage welcomes your furry friend for walkies in the Cornish countryside and frolics on the beach. Just 2.5 miles from a dog-friendly pub serving great food, it has a sweet patio for drinks and dining alfresco, and a wood burner for cosy evenings at home.

Climb the five shallow steps and step through the front door of this generously sized holiday home, a converted barn with a high, apex ceiling and striking wooden beams. You can pop your hound’s bowls down on the floor and immediately feel at home in the open-plan living space. An attractive kitchen runs along one side, with the wood burner a focal point at the far end – perfect for a winter’s evening, when your pup can curl up on the floor for a snooze and you can switch on the Smart TV for a movie night. The king-size bedroom is spacious and bright, and there’s also an inviting bathroom with a rain shower over the bath. For a morning cuppa, a sundowner or a delicious BBQ, you have a private patio just outside.

The quaint village of Michaelstow is just 2.5 miles from St Tudy and its friendly pub, and is tucked deep into Cornish countryside, surrounded by walks on the moors and in beautiful woodland. Head to Port Isaac, 7.5 miles, for a charming harbour, a great selection of shops and places to eat, and to see the locations for the TV series Doc Martin. For huge runs followed by a hot chocolate and a cake in a dog-loving cafe, head to Cardinham Woods, 11 miles, or for some sandy play Trebarwith Strand is just 6.5 miles.

Beautiful cottage with all the amenities you could need and much more. Spacious main area, huge bathroom with wonderful skylight. Appreciated the hamper full of delights. Log burner is brilliant for a cooler night. Would stay again and recommend to all. Great for getting to Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac, Newquay, Passos and more. Excellent accommodation with underfloor heating which makes the place warm & comfortable. Everything in the cottage is of a very good standard. King size bed is very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We enjoyed a quiet week in this cottage. The owners were friendly & helpful.

Bearoak Shippon is such a special place - it's a lovely quiet location, has lots of little extra special touches and is luxurious with it's comfortable bed, large bath and wood burner. Hosts are lovely too!

A very comfortable and spacious cottage for two with everything finished to a high standard. A big comfortable bed with beautiful linen and a lovely bathroom with soft fluffy towels and an excellent shower. Thoughtful hamper of goodies was a nice touch as well. We would certainly return for another stay.

We stayed with our dog for Christmas. The cottage was really welcoming and tastefully decorated. Everything we could have possibly needed for our stay was provided. Lee put so much thought and effort into making our stay that extra special over Christmas. Very well equipped and comfortable property in a peaceful location that is ideal for exploring the coast and moors. Tastefully decorated with attention to detail.
