There’s lots of room for a group of family or friends (plus one furry family member) at this stunning, unique property, an old dairy in East Somerton in the gorgeous Norfolk countryside just 1.5 miles from the coast. You’ll find underfloor heating, a large garden, three en-suite bedrooms, and a kennel at this retreat, in the perfect spot for walking, visiting nearby beaches and the Broads.
The charming property boasts traditional features, sumptuous soft furnishings and has bags of character. The spacious, high-ceilinged lounge is the perfect space to sit and catch up on the day’s events, or your favourite series on the Smart TV. Wake up to Nespresso coffee and cook delicious meals in the large kitchen/diner and enjoy them together at the pretty dining table. There’s a separate WC on the ground floor, as well a pretty king-size bedroom and en-suite shower room, and the utility room, which is shared with the owner. It’s upstairs to bed in the other two spacious king-size rooms (one can have an additional single bed on request), each with an en-suite shower room. Outside, the pup and children can have a ball in the enclosed garden, where there are places to sit with a drink and picnic, or enjoy a BBQ, and there’s an insulated kennel.
Potter around the tranquil village, passing the ancient ivy-clad ruins of St Mary’s Church as you head off on the lovely circular walk to the seaside village of Winterton-on-Sea (2 miles). Go on the gorgeous soft sandy beach to give the pup a run, explore the Winterton Dunes National Nature, home to terns and natterjack toads, as well as the seal colony between Winterton and Horsey (3.5 miles). Explore Martham Broad (less than 1 mile away) part of the 125 miles of waterways criss-crossing Norfolk.
