The location was perfect and the cottage well equipped. We expected more noise than we heard - so excellent all round.

Excellent cottage in a brilliant location right in the heart of Appledore. Great views out over the estuary which my kids loved. Property had everything we needed, was surprisingly spacious, incredibly clean and tidy, well presented, and exactly what we were after. Would recommend.

This is a great quirky old building and the owners put other rentals to shame. We visit Appledore from Plymouth quite often but we made a last minute decision to stay here for a few nights. We were greeted by a tasty looking welcome pack. Thank you for that! It is very well equipped for self catering which we appreciate. The cottage is very cleRead morean and well looked after. The welcome pack has a nice writeup about the history of the cottage. It is sandwiched between a coffee shop and a chocolate shop and a few steps to the Seagate Hotel who have a great menu. Then just up the road is The Champ a really friendly local's pub with real ale. Parking can be awkward if you want to take advantage of free parking on the street for loading and unloading, sometimes you can get lucky. But the main carpark is just a short walk away and was just under 7/day and I think 30 for 7 days which I already factored in. We would love to stay again but looks like there is a lot of competition. Hide

Another fantastic stay at Quayside Corner. Its our 2nd time staying here and we love it. When we walked through the door this time, we both said "it feels like coming home" We have stayed in Appledore many times and this is the only cottage we have wanted to stay in again. The house is always spotlessly clean and everything you could think of neRead moreeding, will probably be there. The welcome gift was fantastic, fresh bread, cake, cookies, milk, sugar, scones and clotted cream and orange juice. Just perfect. If you arrive late and can't get to a shop you are all set for a snack. Thank you for another great stay, we may be back again x Hide

Lovely, unique property in a beautiful village. The cottage is cosy and well-equipped, and there was a very generous welcome basket waiting for us, which was lovely. The views from the lounge are gorgeous, and the Hocking's ice cream van parks up right outside, which is a definite plus! We've stayed in Appledore many times, but never at this properRead morety. The cottage has a lot of history, a lot of which was available to read in the welcome pack. The location is great, only a short walk from pretty much everything in the village. The only thing that might be off-putting for some is the fact that it's right next door to a pub. There can be some noise from there, but nothing too drastic (at least, we found that to be the case out of season). Hide

This cottage was immaculately clean! Had everything you could possibly want within the cottage. Location was great, plenty of eateries on your door step. Parking along the Main Street with a car park on the street if no free parking available. Buses run from outside the door to various locations 3 each way. Johns store offer a boat from AppledoRead morere to Instone so you can visit the beach, this runs outside the shop. Would highly recommend Appledore Bakery for fresh bread. Johns store has essentials. I would definitely recommend this cottage, there was nothing to fault as it was very clean, loads of towels, lovely welcome pack and even biscuits for the dog, everything thing in a kitchen you could possibly need and lovely decor. The quality of the furnishings was appreciated. We would like to thank you for allowing dogs to stay too. We could not fault Quayside Corner.

Good waterfront view, well appointed and very comfortable cottage. There a split levels on the upper floor but these are easily navigable even with my arthritic hip by taking my time. The kitchen/diner threshold has tiny level differences each side and I needed to be extra vigilant taking this route. Having a toilet on each level is always a great Read moreplus. The dining room and upstairs bedroom (which we used) are single pane traditional windows and this was obvious with the cold and sound levels noticeably enhanced. We stayed out of season in March and for me the sound levels particularly from the pub seating area outside became quite unacceptable at the weekend so would not like to experience peak holiday times here. Recycling and bin instructions were clear and luckily we found parking across the road most days.. Hide
