The upside-down layout of the property means that the open-plan living space is on the first floor and benefits from far-reaching countryside views through the glass balcony doors. This neutral-toned room boasts high, vaulted ceilings and a trendy mix of wooden antique furnishings and stylish contemporary touches. Put your feet up in front of the wood burner in the lounge beside the bookcase and velvet armchairs. Gather around the dining table for a feast, or sit at the breakfast bar with your morning coffee. Continue into the contemporary grey and white kitchen with modern appliances. On the ground floor are three bedrooms – two doubles, one with an en-suite and French doors and a single. There is also a convenient utility room plus a family bathroom. Outside is a spacious garden with furniture.

Stay in the Cornish hamlet of Albaston in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Venture into the nearby village of Gunnislake (1 mile) to discover a handful of eateries, a convenience store and the Chimney Rock hiking area. Take Fido for a sniff around the waterside working flour mill National Trust Cotehele (3 miles) and stroll along the River Tamar (2 miles). Enjoy a lively day out in Plymouth (19 miles) or explore the Rame Head Heritage Coast (26 miles).

Peaceful location, well situated to explore the Tamar Valley. Great walks from the front door and good bus and train services at Gunnislake for those not wanting to drive.

A lovely cottage with brilliant views, home from home with all the kitchen equipment you would ever need. Great location with pubs within walking distance and brilliant stunning countryside walks. Loved our stay here

We loved the spacious living room with wood burner and countryside view. Also fascinating book collections and antiques! We went mid February during terrible weather so unfortunately couldnt really go out much but enjoyed being together in the house. We walked to the local shop to get supplies eg firewood a couple of times. Take note-there is no foRead moreotpath, just the road. Hide

This is a beautiful house in a quiet location. The house was very spacious and light. All was well maintained and well equipped, we loved the modern log burner in the evenings which made the house feel so cosy and warm. No problems experienced and we would love to return one day!
