Retreat to this inviting cottage in the charming village of Dennington, Suffolk, and take your four-pawed holiday companion with you. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom cottage makes a great, dog-friendly option for those eager to be within reach of both beautiful countryside and the Suffolk Heritage Coast. With an enclosed garden too, you and your paw-some pal can relax out in the sunshine and fresh air after your many holiday adventures.

Let yourselves into the cottage after every exciting excursion and head straight through to the kitchen with the fresh Suffolk produce you have bought. Set the table through in the dining room so the human members of your group can gather round for their meal. Spend your evenings relaxing together through in the welcoming lounge. Fire up the wood burner in here so your contented canine can toast his paws while you catch up on your favourite boxset on the Smart TV. Sizzle supper on the BBQ out in the rear garden on balmy evenings or take your pup out into the front with you to bask in the sunshine and look out towards the village church.

Good location, lovely local pub, lovely tearoom on Green in village beautiful church with Agincourt Connection. 40 mins from Snape Maltings Concert Hall 40 mins from Sutton Hoo 40 mins from fabulous Beccles open air lido. Co-op in Framlinghsm 10 mins away good, Saxmundham 20 mins away has good Waitrose. LOTS of local beaches our favourite is DuRead morenwich with toilets cafe ice cream kiosk and large free car park. Shingle and sand mix like most beaches in area. Cottage itself has well equipped kitchen a great shower over bath, SMART TV w Sky and very comfortable beds. Stairs ARE steep but carpeted have bannisters and if my blind daughter and black pug dog could manage them was fine for us. The BIGGEST let down to a nice cottage in a fab area was the outside patio garden. The garden furniture was an ancient rotting picnic table and bench, loads of weeds in flowerbeds lumps of mould from roof fallen on patio last autumn leaves lying in corners. The worst thing was that the access via a side path was lined with overgrown trees and bushes so you ran the risk of being hit in the face by foliage on entry and exit. Probably great in winter as cosy well equipped etc but in summer the garden really needed tlc. Sad as it wouldnt take much to sort out and at least its a nice sized enclosed space. My husband said hed recommend to a friend I would only do so warning them about garden issues. Hide

A cottage with lots of character, with most essentials and comfortable lounge. Although the pub is literally next door, did not find it intrusive re. noise, and can recommend the food and friendly staff. The church bells took a little getting used to through the night, but we will miss them!

A wonderful cottage in a wonderful location. Rural Suffolk. Really well equipped, and we appreciated a very thoughtful welcome pack. The property is dog secure. A true old gem of a cottage. Loved the furnishings and originality.

Pleasant accommodation with accessible footpath. The pub is busy, but it did not disturb the peacefulness of our stay.

Black Tiles was a very comfy warm cottage. Well equipped with plenty of cutlery and crockery. The beds were very comfy. The location was in a pretty village. The Dennington Queen pub was on the doorstep, serving delicious food. Remember to book though as it gets very busy. It was in a perfect location for visiting the coastline of Suffolk. SouthwoRead moreld, Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Minsmere and plenty more places all worth a visit and too far away. Framlingham was the nearest town where there was a Co-op store and a market. Framlingham Castle was also worth a visit. Hide

Comfortable and warm, but the usual holiday cottage welcome pack (e.g. small vase of flowers, pint of milk, small packet of biscuits) was absent. We felt doubly unwelcomed when we found there was no toilet paper provided - we had to beg a roll from the nearby pub. No washing up liquid, no surface-wiping cloth or kitchen roll, no salt or pepper. TheRead more CD player advertised is defunct. Hide
