Enjoy a coastal escape in North Norfolk in this stylish holiday home for four humans and one hound. The property has a sociable, open-plan layout and a large, enclosed garden for your canine companion. There are some spectacular sandy beaches along this stretch of coast, many of which welcome four-pawed holidaymakers. Nearby doggy days out include Holkham Hall (14.5 miles) and the North Norfolk Railway (1 mile).

The spacious abode has a contemporary style and an open-plan layout. Enter into the hallway, where you can store your walking gear, before moving into the bright lounge/kitchen/diner. With hard floors throughout and direct access to the garden, this is the perfect spot for the pup to set up camp. Rustle up delicious feasts for the group in the sleek kitchen area and gather around the breakfast bar for memorable mealtimes, or head out into the garden for an al fresco dinner. The two inviting bedrooms are located on the first floor, along with the family bathroom. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden with plenty of space for the woofer to burn off steam, as well as a patio area for outdoor entertaining.

The coastal village of Blakeney has a picturesque harbour to potter around, as well as several pubs and cafes. From the village, you can join the Norfolk Coast Path, which offers spectacular sea views and fabulous wildlife-watching opportunities. You’ll be near some of Norfolk’s finest beaches, including Wells-next-the-Sea (12 miles) and Brancaster (28 miles), both of which have woof-friendly sections all year. Heading inland, you’ll soon reach the Georgian town of Holt. This is a great spot for retail therapy, with many independent shops to peruse. From here, you and Rover can hop on the steam train for a scenic jaunt through the countryside to the seaside resort of Sheringham.

Glaven Retreat is just outside the main part of Blakeney Village tucked away in the midst of a housing estate but still within 15 minutes walk of the quay. As a new build property it lacks character but this is more than made up for by the quality of the appliances, furnishings and so on. The enclosed garden is excellent.

An excellent week away in a beautiful house! It had everything we needed, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and relaxation on the sofa! Beautiful area and lots of lovely walks.

Perfect for us with parking right outside the door. The unit has plenty of space, heated up beautifully and was just a short walk to the pubs etc of Blakeney. A fairly new build it was modern and comfortable inside and, if the weather had been kinder to us, it also has a large outdoors area.
