This picturesque fishing village, set on Cornwall''s stunning south coast, is a favourite among dog-owning holidaymakers with narrow, winding streets, colourful buildings, historic harbour, and ample dog-friendly spots to explore. A short walk leads you to the main sandy beach, bordered by rocks and Banjo Pier. Dogs are not allowed on central Looe Beach, but they are welcome all year at Hannafore Beach in West Looe, just over a mile by road. You can cut that journey in half by taking the foot ferry across the river, with four-legged friends welcome onboard. Looe is filled with pet-positive cafes and pubs where you can refuel before setting out along the coastal path to Polperro (5 miles), a half-day adventure with plenty of interesting sights, sounds and smells for inquisitive hounds to investigate along the way.
