This luxurious family home boasts a prime position in the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh, just 300 metres from its independent shops, galleries, and eateries. The property sleeps eight guests and one hound, and has three reception rooms and an enclosed garden for your four-pawed pal. Just 18.5 miles along the coast is the much-loved resort of Southwold, where you and your canine buddy can wander along the pier, splash in the sea, or catch the foot ferry across to Walberswick.

The holiday home has been impeccably decorated and furnished, with a chic colour palette and sumptuous soft furnishings to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The ground floor is home to two reception rooms – a snug and a lounge – both with comfortable seating to relax on after a day of adventure. The lounge opens onto a bright and airy dining room, where you can host dinner parties around the elegant dining table. In summer, throw open the French doors to the garden, to extend the social space outdoors and allow Fido to potter in and out. An impressive farmhouse-style kitchen rounds off the ground floor, with a myriad of sleek equipment, along with ample worktop space, a pantry, and a cute table for informal dining. Heading up to the first floor, you’ll find four spectacular bedrooms, all decorated in calming tones and with their own en-suite facilities. There’s also a study with a desk on this floor, should you need to catch up on emails whilst away. On the top floor you’ll find a cosy hideout, with a range of comfortable seating, a games table, and far-reaching views across the estuary. Bi-fold doors open from here onto the balcony – the perfect spot for a quiet sundowner after an action-packed day. Back at ground level, the enclosed garden offers a tranquil haven for al fresco dining.

You and the woofer will find plenty to see and do in Aldeburgh. The picturesque pebble beach is just 100 metres from the house, and has a section that welcomes four-pawed beach-goers all year. There are some stunning coastal walks branching away from the town, including to the charming holiday village of Thorpeness (2.5 miles), with its mock Tudor houses and boating lake. Heading inland, the bustling market town of Framlingham is 14.5 miles away, and has a fascinating 12th-century castle that you and Fido (on a lead) can explore.

This a super home in a great location for high street access. For a family booking it was perfect. Simple question to ask is would we return and the answer is a definite yes.

We have been coming to Aldeburgh for years and this was the first time we have seen this property on the letting market. The house has been superbly fitted out with every thing one could possibly need. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms had more than enough stowage. The bathrooms were excellent. The kitchen was huge and very well equipped - our gRead moreranddaughter loved the ice maker in the huge American fridge - and the range cooker was brilliant. The house is in arguably the best position in Aldeburgh, just about the last house going south down the High Street, only a short dash from the wonderful White Hart pub/pizzeria and the Aldeburgh fish & Chip shop. Very handy too for lovely walks along the embankment towards the Martello tower - we often saw seals - and for walks up river and back via Park Road. We'll certainly be back! Hide

A very positioned house with high end furnishings and equipment. Generous provision of essential items such as (luxury) shower gels and hand wash, washing pods and toilet rolls.
