Rest and recharge in this rural retreat in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sleeping four guests and one canine buddy, the property is ideal for small families and couples. There are some fabulous walks nearby to explore with your waggy-tailed pal, including the long-distance Dales Way and the summit of Buckden Pike. In the evenings, enjoy al fresco meals whilst admiring the uninterrupted vistas across the Dales.

The single-storey, converted chapel still retains many of its original features, including the elegant arched windows and exposed stonework, and has been tastefully decorated and furnished to complement the period of the property. The welcoming lounge/diner is a gorgeous place to relax after a long dog walk, with comfortable seating arranged around a wood burner-effect electric fire and a table for sharing mealtimes together. From here, move through to the bespoke kitchen, with everything you need to cater for the group. Down three steps is a handy cloakroom, where you can store all your dog-walking gear. The holiday home has two delightful bedrooms and a stylish family bathroom. Outside, a vast, enclosed garden awaits, with far-reaching views and furniture for al fresco dining.

Immerse yourself in nature in the quaint village of Starbotton. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the area is a paradise for walkers and your hairy companion, with beautiful routes following the River Wharfe. After an exhilarating hike, refuel in the charming village pub. The picturesque village of Grassington is 9 miles away and has a great range of woof-welcoming shops and eateries. Further afield, enjoy doggy days out at Malham Cove (15 miles) - featured in the Harry Potter films - and Bolton Abbey (20 miles).

The cottage is spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect for walks directly from the door and is very close to the village pub. The garden is fully enclosed, so safe for dogs to enjoy. It has everything needed for a great holiday

Lovely cosy spotlessly clean and decorated tastefully. Everything we needed, great location between Kettlewell & Buckden, places we know well and like to walk around. Love Grassington too.

Had another really comfortable and enjoyable week here. Perfect for us and our dog. Really appreciated the dog towels and the welcome pack. Weather wasnt the best but it was February and we were warm and cosy indoors. Garden was secure for our large dog. Starbotton is a perfect place to get away from it all, good walking and an excellent pub just aRead moreround the corner. We would certainly come to the old chapel again. Hide

Very comfortable cottage. Comfy bed too. Good to be able to walk from the cottage and walk to an excellent pub serving excellent food.I had been a little concerned about noise from traffic at night as the Old Chapel is right by the road, but this was never a problem.

The cottage will sleep four people but is a nice size for two (plus the dog). The outside wash area for a dirty dog is really useful especially if the weather is wet. Some great walks on your doorstep. Good secure garden and parking.
