Gather your favourite humans and hound for a relaxing break in this beautiful farmhouse on the outskirts of Falmouth. Sleeping eight guests and one hairy sidekick, the holiday home is ideal for large families and groups of friends. The property is well positioned for exploring the walking routes of the Roseland Peninsula and Lizard Peninsula. After a day of adventure, soak up the last of the sunshine on the south-facing terrace.
The luxurious, double-fronted farmhouse features neutral tones and natural materials, creating a tranquil haven in which to unwind. Enter into the spacious kitchen/diner, which has underfloor heating (creating the perfect dozing spots for the woofer), quartz worktops, and garden views, along with a large dining table and everything needed for a self-catering getaway. On a summer’s day, throw open the doors to the garden to extend the social space onto the terrace. After dinner, snuggle up in the lounge to watch a film on the Smart TV, whilst Rover stretches out in front of the wood burner. Upstairs, three inviting bedrooms await, one of which has an en-suite shower room, along with the elegant family bathroom. The final bedroom – a king-size with an en-suite shower room – is located in the separate garden cabin, making this a great holiday home for two families. The expansive, enclosed garden is a paradise for four-pawed guests, with lots of different areas to sniff and explore. The garden is arranged across different levels and a babbling stream runs along one edge (please supervise children and dogs near the water), and you’ll also have a south-facing patio area for al fresco dining.
The vibrant coastal town of Falmouth (3 miles) has a great range of paw-friendly eateries. Head down to the harbour for restaurants with waterside views, or find a cute coffee shop tucked away down one of the lanes. The town’s main beaches have seasonal dog restrictions; however, you’ll be near some fabulous waggy tail-friendly beaches, including Carne Beach (21 miles) – a sandy, sheltered stretch that welcomes woofers all year. There are some excellent dog-friendly attractions nearby, including the sub-tropical paradise of Trebah Gardens (6 miles).
