  • A superb, double-fronted farmhouse with a stylish and modern interior
  • Ideal house for families or a group of friends to celebrate a special event near the coast
  • Large, south-facing garden with a fabulous terrace and outdoor space for al fresco dining
Property code: OC-C27969

Gather your favourite humans and hound for a relaxing break in this beautiful farmhouse on the outskirts of Falmouth. Sleeping eight guests and one hairy sidekick, the holiday home is ideal for large families and groups of friends. The property is well positioned for exploring the walking routes of the Roseland Peninsula and Lizard Peninsula. After a day of adventure, soak up the last of the sunshine on the south-facing terrace.

The luxurious, double-fronted farmhouse features neutral tones and natural materials, creating a tranquil haven in which to unwind. Enter into the spacious kitchen/diner, which has underfloor heating (creating the perfect dozing spots for the woofer), quartz worktops, and garden views, along with a large dining table and everything needed for a self-catering getaway. On a summer’s day, throw open the doors to the garden to extend the social space onto the terrace. After dinner, snuggle up in the lounge to watch a film on the Smart TV, whilst Rover stretches out in front of the wood burner. Upstairs, three inviting bedrooms await, one of which has an en-suite shower room, along with the elegant family bathroom. The final bedroom – a king-size with an en-suite shower room – is located in the separate garden cabin, making this a great holiday home for two families. The expansive, enclosed garden is a paradise for four-pawed guests, with lots of different areas to sniff and explore. The garden is arranged across different levels and a babbling stream runs along one edge (please supervise children and dogs near the water), and you’ll also have a south-facing patio area for al fresco dining.

The vibrant coastal town of Falmouth (3 miles) has a great range of paw-friendly eateries. Head down to the harbour for restaurants with waterside views, or find a cute coffee shop tucked away down one of the lanes. The town’s main beaches have seasonal dog restrictions; however, you’ll be near some fabulous waggy tail-friendly beaches, including Carne Beach (21 miles) – a sandy, sheltered stretch that welcomes woofers all year. There are some excellent dog-friendly attractions nearby, including the sub-tropical paradise of Trebah Gardens (6 miles).

  • 3 bedrooms in the main house – 1 super-king, 1 king-size, 2 singles (zip-and-link, can be arranged as a king-size on request at time of booking)
  • Separate garden cabin with 1 bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite shower room with WC
  • 2 bathrooms in the main house – 1 en-suite with walk-in shower and WC and separate bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Ground-floor WC
  • Range cooker with gas hob and electric ovens, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer
  • Smart TV in living room and main bedroom
  • Wood burner in living room (logs provided)
  • South-facing, enclosed, terraced garden to the rear with a paved terrace, outdoor dining set and kettle barbecue
  • Please note: Take care when venturing into the upper section of the garden as it is quite untamed and open with an unfenced stream
  • Private parking for 3 cars
  • Shops, restaurants and pubs 0.5 miles, beach 3.5 miles
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • 1 dog allowed. Additional charges may apply

A well-equipped & tastefully furnished accommodation. It was a bonus getting dishwasher tablets & things like cling film etc which are not always included in holiday homes. The chilled bottle of bubbly was a welcome surprise on arrival too! The garden is probably unsuitable for young children due to the stream running down the side of it but beauRead moretiful for grown-ups! Hide

We had a wonderful family Christmas at Chyventon with the house decorated for our stay. It was beautifully furnished, had very comfy beds, a cosy wood-burning stove and plenty of space for our group. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen/dining room cooking and gathering round the big table. Listening to the sound of the stream running by was very Read morerelaxing lying in bed at night. The ability to be able to walk the short distance into the town meant that we could go to the pub without needing to drive back. The perfect house for our needs and one I would definitely recommend to others. Hide
