Join friends, family, and canine companions in this characterful holiday home in the Yorkshire Dales. The property sleeps eight guests and two hairy sidekicks, and is perfect for those who love getting out and about in nature. The area is awash with walking trails to sniff and explore, including the iconic Aysgarth Falls, just 1 mile from the property, and the spectacular rock formations at Malham Cove (26 miles).
The 300-year-old cottage has been carefully renovated to celebrate its original style and period features, whilst offering all the creature comforts needed for a relaxing holiday with your four-pawed pals. The spacious lounge, with its beamed ceiling, is a lovely place to unwind after a long dog walk, with cosy underfloor heating and a roaring wood burner. The bespoke kitchen/diner has ample space for the dog beds, along with all the equipment needed for a self-catering break and a table to seat everyone. Also on the ground floor is a flexible room with a sofa bed that can be used as a double bedroom or a quiet snug. Completing this level is an opulent bathroom. Heading up to the first floor, discover three relaxing bedrooms – one with an en-suite shower room – and a super stylish family shower room. Finally, on the second floor, is a glorious king-size bedroom with an indulgent, free-standing bath in one corner of the room. Outside, a haven of tranquillity awaits in the enclosed, decked garden. Spend time here, soaking your limbs in the hot tub after a long walk with Rover, sunbathing on the loungers, or tucking into a delicious BBQ supper.
Aysgarth Falls is a must for the itinerary. Its three-step, cascading waterfall is a sight to behold, especially after a heavy downpour, and has featured in many films and TV shows over the years. There are some beautiful picnic spots near the falls, and some lovely shady, woodland walks to explore (perfect for hot dogs on a sunny day). After a gentle stroll, refuel in one of the cosy pubs in the picturesque villages of Bainbridge, Carperby, or Askrigg, or head into the bustling market town of Hawes (all within 10 miles).
