Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Suffolk countryside at this charming retreat which welcomes families and Fidos. The garden area is a fantastic space all year round, with a patio area for summer dining and a lawn area for pups to play. Head off for a waterside walk which is sure to set tails wagging in Beccles (4 miles) beside the River Waveney.
Upon entering the cottage you’ll be greeted by the spacious hall with hooks to hang coats and leads. Encompassing the majority of the ground floor is the open-plan living space with a cosy living area complete with a wood burner where the whole family can gather around for a film whilst the dog snoozes beside the fire. With a light and airy feel, the kitchen/diner is a great place for celebrations with everything you’ll need to cook and serve up to your guests on the eight-seater dining table. Completing the ground floor is the first of the bedrooms, furnished with twin beds which are perfect for children, as well as a shower room. The three remaining bedrooms can be found on the first floor, including a second twin, and two king-size bedrooms, one of which boasts a luxurious en-suite bathroom. Doors from the main living space lead out to the pretty patio and garden which is a real treat during the spring and summer months.
Spend a day at the seaside visiting Southwold (13 miles) for a quintessential sandy paws experience on Denes Beach, a stretch welcoming pups to play all year round. From here, adventurous dogs will love the chance to head off for walkies on the Suffolk Coast Path – if you’re up for a challenge, the 12-mile stretch between Southwold and Lowestoft is an exhilarating experience with plenty of paw-friendly pubs along the route to refuel.
