This charming former agricultural barn is set in gorgeous countryside and boasts panoramic views. There’s a feeling of rustic grandeur in this high-ceilinged property, and wonderful light floods in via its tall windows and doors. All kinds of characterful features add charm and interest, including exposed-stone walls, decorative pipework and chunky beams. Step into the open-plan living space and you’ll find a Knole sofa and a pair of armchairs, a dining table for four and a Smart TV. The pretty kitchen is set in a nook at one end and has everything you’ll need for holiday cooking. The twin bedroom (which also has room for a full-size cot, available on request) is also on this floor, as is the bathroom - where there’s a walk-in shower and a deep, free-standing tub for blissful bathing. Head upstairs and you’ll find the double bedroom on the mezzanine, overlooking the living space, with low, sloping ceilings and a gorgeous wooden sleigh bed. The barn’s private courtyard has far-reaching views of the Devon countryside and, in dry weather, you can take your meals or enjoy a sundowner outside. Rain or shine there’s also a shared games room with table tennis and straw-bale seating in an old barn.

This fabulous property borders the beautiful Wistlandpound Reservoir and is just 1 mile outside Exmoor National Park. Explore the many local walking trails (bound to get tails wagging!), take a day trip to Ilfracombe, 11.5 miles, for independent boutiques and great places to eat, or head to one of the many superb beaches that are within 20 miles.
