Located on the outskirts of ever-popular Padstow, this delightful shepherd’s hut has been carefully designed as a romantic getaway for two, with a comfortable bed, a Smart TV for cosy nights in and fully operational kitchen and bathroom. Best of all, your furry companions can romp around in your very own private field while you enjoy a coffee or a sundowner.
The traditional charm of a shepherd’s hut is always appealing, and this lovely example, designed for both style and function, is no exception. Climb the four wooden steps to the stable door, and you’ll find yourselves in a beautiful space with painted-timber walls and a wooden floor. Its Shaker-style kitchen may be compact but it has all mod cons, plus a decent amount of storage and worktop space. Dine at the flip-out table and, afterwards, you can close the blinds and read, play a game or relax in front of the Smart TV. When you feel tired, the double bed is set at the far end of the room, with plenty of clothes storage underneath and in the adjacent wardrobe, and there’s a full-sized shower room with a drench shower and proper WC. From your field you can admire gorgeous rural views as well as glimpses of the nearby sea, and if you want to eat or drink outside there’s a table and chairs provided.
Vibrant Padstow is known for its foodie scene, and there are plenty of Fido-friendly eateries in town, including the garden and bar areas of Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s Bistro. Explore the boutique shops and galleries, and head to the beach for a long run in the sand - both Hawkers Cove and Harbour Cove allow dogs all year round. For a great day out, mystical Tintagel Castle is just 20 miles away.
