  • "Really great, the shepherds hut is perfect for 2 people, very cosy and in a lovely position."
  • Relax and unwind in this quirky shepherds hut on the outskirts of Padstow
  • Charming living space with characterful stable door and steps
  • Pet-friendly, with your own field for your furry friends to run around in
Property code: OC-P27794

Located on the outskirts of ever-popular Padstow, this delightful shepherd’s hut has been carefully designed as a romantic getaway for two, with a comfortable bed, a Smart TV for cosy nights in and fully operational kitchen and bathroom. Best of all, your furry companions can romp around in your very own private field while you enjoy a coffee or a sundowner.

The traditional charm of a shepherd’s hut is always appealing, and this lovely example, designed for both style and function, is no exception. Climb the four wooden steps to the stable door, and you’ll find yourselves in a beautiful space with painted-timber walls and a wooden floor. Its Shaker-style kitchen may be compact but it has all mod cons, plus a decent amount of storage and worktop space. Dine at the flip-out table and, afterwards, you can close the blinds and read, play a game or relax in front of the Smart TV. When you feel tired, the double bed is set at the far end of the room, with plenty of clothes storage underneath and in the adjacent wardrobe, and there’s a full-sized shower room with a drench shower and proper WC. From your field you can admire gorgeous rural views as well as glimpses of the nearby sea, and if you want to eat or drink outside there’s a table and chairs provided.

Vibrant Padstow is known for its foodie scene, and there are plenty of Fido-friendly eateries in town, including the garden and bar areas of Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s Bistro. Explore the boutique shops and galleries, and head to the beach for a long run in the sand - both Hawkers Cove and Harbour Cove allow dogs all year round. For a great day out, mystical Tintagel Castle is just 20 miles away.

We have stayed in a few shepherd huts and this location was by far the best, felt secluded, private and safe and we had the lovely bulls as our Neighbours and they were a delight. It was only a 20 minute walk into Padstow and close to drive to lots of bays and National trust sites so a great location. The hut was clean and comfortable with a great Read morehot shower, the owners had put some lovely flowers and scones( Jam and Clotted cream too!) for our arrival which was a lovely touch. I would definitely stay here again and really good find. Hide

Just had a short 3 night stay and it was fantastic especially the big open paddock for our whippet Stanley to enjoy. Great location with a 15 minute walk into town and we will definitely be returning. Brilliant place x

The property was well situated for our needs, and we had a lovely break here despite the weather. Very comfortable bed with decent bedding, decent bathroom with good hot water, peaceful and private. It was really good to have a proper oven: unusual in a Shepherds Hut. The cream tea and flowers on arrival was a nice surprise.

LThis is the first time we have strayed in a shepherds hut. It was well equipped, warm and comfortable. Located in a field a short journey from Padstow, beaches and the cliff walks. As expected tight on storage but sufficient for us. Highlight - the wonderful sunset in our first night. Found plenty to do in the area. So a good break away

We had a wonderful week long stay in the Shepard's hut with our dog. It was very well equipped especially given the size. We were thankful to have an oven, hob and fridge meaning we could eat in occasionally. The large enclosed field was excellent for the dog who enjoyed his holiday as much as we did. Hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. WRead moree would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Hide
