Bring the whole family along – pets included, of course – for a stay in the beautiful spa town of Buxton. This large, converted chapel is just moments from the High Street and Pavilion Gardens, inviting you to wander into the town centre with Rover on the lead for morning coffee and treats before setting off on wider adventures in the Derbyshire countryside. Sleeping up to nine guests and two canine companions, the property also benefits from a garden area, giving your four-legged friends space to enjoy some fresh air while you sip your morning brew or unwind before bed.

High ceilings and light-filled rooms make this impressive two-storey property a truly special place to stay. After a day of exploring, follow Fido inside and settle into one of the comfortable living spaces. Both the lounge and the snug offer cosy spots to relax, each featuring comfortable seating and a Smart TV, perfect for evenings spent with man’s best friend curled up by your side. Also on the ground floor, the well-equipped kitchen and separate dining room provide sociable spaces for cooking, dining, and spending time together. Upstairs, four inviting bedrooms offer restful spaces to retreat to at the end of the day, accompanied by a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room. On-street parking is available for one car, and a small garden completes the property's offering.

Make the most of your time in Buxton by exploring the town’s charming streets, elegant architecture, and beautiful green spaces. Visit Poole’s Cavern (0.5 miles) and the surrounding country park, or head out with your dogs to discover Deep Dale (5 miles) and the famous Chee Dale Stepping Stones (4 miles). The vast Peak District National Park offers endless opportunities for adventure, including the scenic Goyt Valley (3 miles), known for its picturesque reservoirs, rolling hills, and excellent walking routes.

We were delighted with the house, which was extremely well equipped even to an air fryer. The location was excellent (which was why we chose it, of course). Private parking space was a bonus. We were attending a wedding at the Crescent Hotel so it was ideal. Would definitely return.

1. the property seemed was well equipped for cookers and bakers. We used very little equipment as one of our party has a severe allergy so we bring everything ourselves. 2. The location was perfect for our needs. The children loved the proximity to the Pavilion Gardens. Lots of bedrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements was perfect for a three gRead moreeneration family. We are great fans of Buxton. 3. In the searing heat the property stayed beautifully cool. 4. there was plenty of downstairs space and toys for the children. Hide

Well equipped house in great location. Beds were clean and comfortable. We found roll top bath/shower too high to climb in and out of but the en suite had a shower we could all share. Great property.

The cottage smelled of damp. There was a dehumidifier running when we arrived we needed to empty it daily. Every windowsill had an air freshener on it to try and mask the smell but it didn't work very well. It's a shame as it's otherwise a good house in a good location. Superb converted accommodation our family of 5 all enjoyed, Chapel Retreat felt more like a home than a rental property and was extremely well equipped, I neednt have brought all those little extras with me! 2 unexpected issues unfortunately arose which were dealt with promptly and satisfactorily by owner &/or agent. Plus plenty of cafe/pub/restRead moreaurant eateries and a Sainsburys local within a 5-10 min walk, larger Morrisons supermarket a 5 minute drive away. Definitely recommend! Hide

A wonderful warm and welcoming feel as we entered. Bright well lit rooms and sparkling clean. The welcome pack was much appreciated and covered all your essential needs , like a good cuppa after the journey to Buxton. It was nice and central for the town and travelling around the Peak District , no where was more than a 45 minute drive. The streRead moreet had ample parking and was very peaceful. Hide

Lovely house. We've stayed here twice now and enjoyed it very much. This time, the weather was extremely cold with lots of snow, but the house was lovely and warm. I really like the valves on the radiators upstairs so that we could boost the heating-great idea.

The converted church has been undertaken very sympathetically with a great use of space. A well equipped property that was very comfortable and ideally located for a short walk into Buxton.

Chapel Retreat was a tastefully decorated and spacious house, which was perfect for our extended family break. There was plenty of space downstairs, including a little snug area for the kids. There was a large dining table that sat everyone, and a comfy sofa area. Upstairs the bedrooms were decent, 2 a little on the small side, but the triple deckeRead morer bunk was hilarious and such fun for the kids, and the day bed and under bed worked really well and was easy to get out and stash away. The other 2 were good size, and both the bathroom and en-suite were both lovely. The location near the Pavillion Gardens in Buxton was fantastic, it was moments away from a Sainsburys and easy to find and easy to get parking on the street. Hide

Excellent, spacious accommodation, within easy reach of all Buxton has to offer (10 minutes walk to the main shops). Nice & warm, plenty of good quality towels/linen/loo roll etc. The snug was perfect for my son to play on his computer, or watch TV by himself without disturbing others. Good shower in en-suite, nice, deep bath. Several games & puzzlRead morees. Proper smart TVs. Reliable WiFi. Dedicated parking space. Recommend the Pig & Pepper bakery round the corner - and Scriveners Book shop, of course! Hide
