Renowned for its seaside landscape, there are plenty of stick-throwing opportunities in the coastal town of Westward Ho!, nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Treat your four-pawed pal to 2 miles of golden sand at Westward Ho! Beach, 1.5 miles away; don’t forget to fetch yourself an ice cream! From the headland, join the South West Coast Path to find plenty of sticks to fetch across the cliff tops. Scamper down the Tarka Trail from nearby Bideford (4 miles) on foot or two wheels if your four-pawed pal can keep up, to be rewarded with scenic views across the estuary.

We had a lovely stay here. Very convenient to all amenities. Garden was good for our dogs and a really good sun trap.

This cottage is absolutely beautiful it has been modernised to a very high standard. It has everything you could possibly need for your holiday its like home from home. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and we did meet the lovely lady that had cleaned it very friendly. In the garage (which is massive) they have a table tennis and footbRead moreall table which we did enjoy using, it was lots of fun. Just one thing to think about if you have young children and that is the road, cars can sometimes go quite fast up and down that road and because there is no footpath outside this could be a little dangerous. We have booked to go back in August and we are looking forward to it so much. Hide

Just came back from a wonderful week stay at Ridgeway. Ridgeway is located directly opposite the small Tesco and just up the road from the beach (1 min walk) which were both very convenient. On arrival the property was spotless and very well presented- with a folder full of all the information we would need. We stayed here as a family of 5 aRead moredults with 1 dog (German shepherd - so there is plenty of space for big dogs!) for a family birthday which was perfect. The bedrooms are spacious with massive beds which are comfortable which is always great! Plenty of storage with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers and a tv too. Only thing I would say is they could use better lighting as due to the windows facing the main area you cannot get ready with the curtains open. All 3 bathrooms were spotless, showers were powerful and the towels were actually big enough to wrap around you. The living area has a decent sized smart tv, and 2 very comfortable sofas a 3 seater and 2 seater with a footrest. The only thing I would say is could do with an extra chair in this area - especially if youre staying in a group of 6 as not enough space for all to sit otherwise. The kitchen area is well stocked with everything you need utensil wise, plenty of pans and mugs! The garden was perfect for our pup! She loved being able to run around the large area and bring us all the random footballs she found. In the local area we visited the few local amusements and shops as well as having a pizza at the pig and olive which we recommend. Also Atlantic Bay for fish and chips was beautiful! The ice cream from the place on the corner by ho barts amusements isnt the best so try another one of the many options. The other areas we visited are Bude, Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynmouth and Clovelly. There is a shopping outlet called affinity in Bideford but that's it really for decent shopping in the area. Overall a fantastic holiday for our mums 50th birthday, hopefully we will visit again. Thank you Hide

Exceptional doesn't do this beautiful place by the sea justice. Everything thing you could possibly need and more from a home away from home. Not only is it gorgeous, its comfortable and practical too. Shops, pubs and restaurants are right on the doorstep. Sea views from all bedrooms. The flat garden was perfect for my old dog to plod around. ThereRead more were so many extras, like books for adults & children, board games, table tennis, foosball table, beach equipment, I could go on but then this review may never end. One of the best properties we have stayed in. Loved the open plan living and 2 ensuite rooms. The garden was brilliant for our 2 bulldogs they did not want to leave the property and explore. We can not wait to return

Excellent location, all amenities at hand and a 2 minute walk and you are on the beach. The layout of the property is good with the living kitchen area at the back, so nice a quiet and looks out onto the garden. Well thought out and equipped properly, will be going back.

Lovely property. Very clean and bright. Extremely dog friendly and with a few tweaks, could be fantastic! Just needed slatted blinds in the bedrooms to give some privacy without closing the curtains and some hooks on the back of the doors would be great! Would really recommend this property and we hope to be back.
