Loft living awaits in this characterful and entirely dog-friendly cottage in the vibrant town of Alnwick. The property itself is laid out with a group of five in mind, hosting four human guests and one dog in exceptional style and comfort. With everything laid out on one storey, your loyal pup will likely love having their entire pack within close reach when relaxing throughout the day and snoozing at night. The surrounding area presents an abundance of pet-friendly pursuits to set out and explore, including the tail-wagging Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) that’s just 4 miles away.

Head upstairs to be greeted by a top dog living space that’s tucked under the property’s eaves with handsome wooden beams and exposed brickwork throughout. Comprised of the kitchen, lounge and diner, this area is ready to host an abundance of lazy mornings and restful evenings throughout your stay. Leave your furry friend to curl up in their bed right here as you wander down the hallway to find two bedrooms, a king-size and a double, accompanied by a family bathroom. To complete the accommodation, an enclosed patio space invites your dog to sniff around whilst you enjoy morning coffee or a late-night tipple.

Wake up each morning and grab Rover’s lead to head out for a morning stretch, wandering past Alnwick’s captivating castle (0.5 miles) and throwing a tennis ball down The Pastures before grabbing some breakfast from an abundance of independent dog friendly cafes to take home for the rest of the pack. There are plenty of opportunities for letting your dog run free as you start to explore the coast, finding that your four-pawed pal is invited to enjoy every beach along the AONB coastline with minimal restrictions. Head for the picture-perfect village of Alnmouth (4.5 miles) to find a golden sand beach (5 miles) on which your pet can play.

Bit disappointed with the cleanliness overall, particularly the entrance and walkway - the outside space was pretty poor. Please, please as a minimum provide loo roll. Overall poor experience which we felt was overpriced.

Although well located for seeing Alnwick town, for just 2 nights, it was rather expensive for a self catering cottage (if compare to ones that offer breakfast included), especially for a last minute deal it should've been cheaper, given the exterior of the property and no nice views from the windows inside. We stayed in Alnwick Loft Cottage: insidRead moree its a lovely cottage nicely decorated: loved the open plan living and kitchen area. Clean and welcoming inside. Outside could've done with clearing leaves in courtyard at cottage entrance door. Matresses are very soft, could do with medium firmness to suit more back types in the mid range of matress firmness. If you want to make it a 5 start sleeping rating and a comfortable sleep for everyone, perhaps offer different firmness of matresses in future. Hide

Great location and nicely decorated interior. Outside area could do with weeding. Lack of cleaning stuff provided (sponges, brush etc) and I would have expected at least one toilet roll on arrival after a long journey - we bought and left all this for following occupants but basic things like this are normally provided. We had a query regarding parRead moreking and phoned owners as instructed but they never replied. Regarding parking we never had a problem finding a space and although says no parking over 24 hours we didnt move the car a couple of days and it was no problem. Overall a good location just off high street but with some small improvements the cottage could be made really good. Hide

This loft flat is beautifully furnished and in a great location. The main street is a five minute walk away. We had to buy basic cleaning products.

The location of the property is great. However the alley way at the side was very noisy on the Friday night, sounded like drunk people on the way home from the pub. The cottage is overall good. The beds, pillows and duvet were comfortable. The furnishings and ornaments are nice. The cottage would benefit from a deep clean, and the yard could be mRead moreore welcoming. The first thing we saw when we arrived was a mop and bucket. At a minimum we felt there should have been one toilet roll, dish washer tablet and bin bag provided. We struggled to get in the car park twice but after driving round and coming back a space had become available. The location is the biggest selling point. Hide

The flat is in a good location. We had issues with the outside area not fit to sit out in/ path overgrown with weeds and the bath outlet not emptying meant standing in ankle deep water when showering. Contacted holiday cottages and spoke to their customer services who informed me they had notified the owner and local agent - nothing happened and noRead morebody has contacted me. The flat was reasonably well kitted out however frying pans need replacing as old. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom could do with a good deep clean as mould around edges of bath. Hide

Our Initial impressions were that the walk way and parking isn't ideal. However, the parking is fine if you go out every day. The maximum stay is 24 hours (but you can return after 4 hours). During the day the car park is very busy and there were a couple of times we returned around 5pm and struggled to find a space. However, there are other car paRead morerks with the same restrictions not to far away. Once you enter it really is a beautiful flat, well equipped and very comfortable living space and beautifully decorated. It is in the heart of the town and so convenient for bars and some lovely restaurants. We did have an issue with noise from an unexpected generator being run until 1 am from the takeaway next door. We appreciate this is a new problem and now that the owner is aware we hope they are able to deal with it accordingly. The property was in need of a clean, I felt the very basics had been covered, but a lot more attention was required. Especially as you are paying an additional fee for this service. We found previous occupiers dog toys, toothpaste, significant amount of hair, mould, grime, dust and crumbs. Had we been in a hotel I would if insisted on a room change. The mattress protector was very dirty, and generally the whole property needed a much better clean. The patio area is basic and rather overgrown but a quick tidy up would make it a much more inviting space. Hide

Lovely cottage, the location couldn't be better, 5 minute walk to the town center and 10 to the castle. The free car park was perfect too, we managed to get a spot whenever we needed one, but it does fill up quickly. The cottage had everything we needed, comfy bed and great shower. The Xbox 360 was a nice surprise.
