  • Less than a mile from the centre of Hawes, a beautiful market town
Property code: OC-B27575

Return from long walks through the Yorkshire Dales with your furry friend to the comfort of this exquisite cottage in Hawes. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat is in a stunning situation on the edge of the market town, capturing glorious outlook across the undulating, green hills that will set your chum’s tail wagging at the prospect of his trips out. Beautifully finished, the stone retreat also comes with a south-facing, courtyard garden, where you and your contented canine can relax and take in the views over your national park surroundings.

Dry damp paws and let yourselves into your new home from home via the entrance hall. Head through to the lounge to light the open fire on chilly days and perhaps find your favourite programme on the Smart TV as your pup also enjoys some much-needed rest and recuperation, out on the rug. Tear yourself away from the gorgeous views to make your way through to the spacious kitchen/diner, where there is ample space to prepare doggy dinners and human feasts and to gather round the table for your jolly holiday meals together. There is also a useful boot room here where you can keep your four-legged friend’s bed and other belongings. Settle him for the night downstairs before making your way up to either one of your two double bedrooms. The family bathroom is up here. Spill out into the garden to have morning coffee or grill supper on the BBQ with your delighted dog close by.

Take your pup with you to visit the beautiful waterfalls of Cotter Force, 3 miles away, where he can paddle, and Aysgarth Falls, 10 miles away, which has famously been used as the backdrop for many scenes in major movies. Hike 4.5 miles to the Buttertubs Pass, with its magnificent views.

All good overall. The description is quiet about the fact house is mid terraced, the tiny garden, tiny car park space and proximity to the camp site. A washing machine would be a plus. Beds and sofas are comfortable. Handy being able to walk to Hawes. It's A LOT BETTER than average. Don't let my review put you off. I'm trying to complete the descriRead moreption. Hide

This is a beautiful home in a fantastic location with lovely views - easy walk into Hawes one way, and straight out into the countryside and the riverside the other way. Plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep.

Enjoyed our week at Brandymires. Its on the edge of town (10 minute stroll) which means its close but peaceful. Well equipped, extremely comfortable beds with views to die for even on a misty, drizzling day. For visitors with dogs the cottage is next door to a Caravan Club site which has its own Pawnine Way, a fabulous area where you can give your dog an off leash run which is a blessing as generally you are likely to encounter sheep on most walks. Hawes is a bustling market town with lots of eating and drinking options nearly all of which are dog friendly. Hide

A lovely house which is very comfortable and clean. It is in a beautiful location and with a very easy walk to the centre of Hawes. Parking is available for one car but there is ample car parking in the museum car park at a very reasonable cost. I would love to stay again.
