Wake up to the smell of sea air in this three-storey holiday home in Looe. Spend your days at the paw-friendly beach, 0.5 miles away, or let Rover lead the way on an exhilarating hike along the South West Coast Path. The property sleeps five guests, making it ideal for families and groups of friends, and has an enclosed balcony where the hound can enjoy an afternoon siesta and you can dine alfresco.
The Grade II-listed cottage has a reverse-level layout. The decor is bright and fresh, with a subtle nautical theme, and the main hub of the home – an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner - is on the top floor. Rustle up tasty feasts in the sleek kitchen area, to enjoy together around the dining table. After dinner, stretch out on the sofa to watch the Smart TV and throw open the patio doors to allow Rover to potter in and out to the enclosed, south-facing balcony. Heading downstairs, you’ll come to the triple bedroom with three single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The lower ground floor houses a utility area with a sink – perfect for dealing with sandy paws after a day at the beach.
You and your canine chum will find plenty to see and do in Looe. Take a stroll through the narrow streets to explore the independent boutiques and galleries, before sampling some fresh seafood in one of the many woof-welcoming pubs or restaurants. The main beach is a waggy-tail-free zone, however, just west of the town is Hannafore Beach, where hounds are welcome all year. The South West Coast Path passes through the town and, for shady, woodland walks, head to the majestic Golitha Falls Nature Reserve (11 miles).
